That spoiler is epic! Looks really smart. Just a shame the GTI lettering on the boot kind of disappears against the body colour. Could you/would you de-badge it?

Strangely - I did s**t on Rally when I hooked up the G25 wheel. I didn't really go to town with tweaking the setups, but I felt there was a big delay between steering inputs having any affect on screen. I didn't do well at all. Then tried it several weeks later with an XBox One pad on standard...

Looks good. I prefer the likes of DIRT Rally compared to DIRT3, but I'll be interested to see how this pans out. DIRT Rally for me strikes good balance between fun and some form of realism. Its rewarding when you get it right, but not massively frustrating when you don't.

You can still do that now in BF4 m8. Hang out the side of a Little Bird with your welder/screwdriver gadget working feverishly against the bulkhead. If you have a good pilot at the helm you can spend minutes onboard one of those things, racking up points.

Fair point m8 - but apply the same logic to aircraft and add a pilot with some skill - and it's pwnage galore. That J-10 Chinese jet back in the early BF4 days (I think they nerfed it later?). Hit it a few times for about 10% damage and the fecker just thrusts out to some corner of the map...

The thing with the tanks - as with all the recent vehicles within BF games, is the idiotic decision to have them equipped with unlimited ammo. The shell never deviates - but follows an extremely predictable and logical arc path, through the air. It's doesn't take much practice to get those...

Ye Yep, they do. I just think things like that are underhanded when it's long been an established practice for expansion and upgrades at a later date. Hopefully it won't catch on too well and quickly die out.

That's just taking things too far though, imo. I'm all for them wanting to up-sell people to the next model. But allow them to upgrade in a year or two and stretch the longevity of their kit, FFS. Very selfish. Very greedy. HP do it on some of their laptops too. :angry:

Tricky. You could do with being a bit more specific in the MBP specs. It's easy to see what spec the memory is in the 'About this Mac' drop down. I'm guessing that it's old enough to be prior to Apple's stupid, stupid decision to hardwire memory to their motherboards.

I think that was part of what I was getting at with the comparison to CoH. The impression I get with SC2 is that you have to be on the ball with that minutiae level of control - in order to be good online. I bet most RTS games could be tweaked by the developers and only the truly hardcore fans...

One of the things I just don't cut corners on - even when I have to go into the red financially. Your car sits on four relatively small contact patches - and that's all that you have for control on the road surface. Even if I had a Matiz or C1, I'd still put decent rubber on there. For the likes...

Personally m8 - CoH2 as a complete package (inc. all the DLCs) is still at the top of the pile so far. I've put around 600 hours into CoH1 since 2006 and about 200 into CoH2. Although these two and SC2 are both excellent RTSs, I think the CoH games are more laid back to play. SC2 is deceptively...

As Sharky says m8 - you'll be hard pressed to get something decent for that money. You might strike it lucky with a seller who just wants to get rid - or they haven't a real clue as to the value of what they are selling. With all the best wills and intentions - even people who build these...

To be fair Chris - it probably would be worth it for that. Though the side options of arcade and MP mode are better than the campaign.

Thread bump. I have to hand it to Blizzard - they know how to polish a well designed game. I really like RTS games, but missed the boat with the original Starcraft as I was all about C&C at the time. I got a hooky copy of SC2 when it first came out and played through the Terran campaign...

Lol - summed up perfectly! At times it felt like that box-set or season on TV that you know should be better - but you're on episode 12 now of 15, so quitting would be a total waste. Plod on.:smile:

Yeah, it was a shame for me. I have such fond memories of pretty much hot-seating with the lads at uni with DOOMs 1&2 that I think I was hoping for something similar. At times it was great - but others made me quit in comparison. Finishing off the enemies with a pinch seemed to be the only way...
