Same thing happened to me buddy, you won't get one on a Sunday anywhere period.
You can't just use a long bolt either it has to be a new one or do what I did and ring Clio spares tomorrow and buy the bolt with the alloy wishbone thing for 15 quid,
Yes you would, think you would be better getting it fixed and selling privately on pistonheads then having a bucket full of cash to buy the 182 you want or if you want something very similar but quicker get a 172 cup and spend the rest on mods
If you earn £2k every 4 weeks....
1, why are you driving a heap of sh1t Clio
2, dreaming of owning a 172 cup when you could buy the mintest one after 8 weeks
Stop talking utter sh1te lad
I would say 90% of 172 cups being broken for parts already have a knackered front bumper/bonnet due to a crash, I have seen a few rear end crashed cups and even one being broken due to a cambelt snapped however
as someone has already said just keep ya eye out on eBay and ring cliospares weekly
Sell privately then you will be able to be as cheeky as you want at the dealers to barter down the price of the car you want
If you part ex you have no bartering power what so ever. Fact
agreed, the clio has much better build quality and feels a far safer place to be, but I dont care what anyone says, a 106 gti with a about £1000 spent on the engine..... phs3 newman cams etc would rape any rs clio
found in the boot of my car previous owner doesnt know what it is for either, box says steering and suspension component, looks like a rubber mount with a long bolt going through it, does anyone recognise it and know where it goes on a 172???
I would just like to point out one fact
7 years ago a brand new 172ff cost £2.5k more than a 172 cup due to the extra toys etc
today in the current second hand car Market a 172 cup is worth more than the 172 FF
Wonder if the same will happen for the 182, 197 and 200?????
Is this thread a joke? It's looks exactly the same as standard
2 minutes with a rag and some autoglym bumper care will make the grille look like new
painting a black grill .........black???? Some of u have too much spare time and need to get out more!!!
My 172 cup is missing the front splitter and I have noticed that when parking the car in many car parks that the front bumper will only just clear over some kerb stones, if the splitter was present it would constantly be ripped off if accidently parked over a kerb, which if you look most cars...
