we have companies such as symbian, redbull racing, and lockheed martin, who all buy all their equipment through us.
i am pretty certain they are more than big enough to go direct to hp, but we are a VAR so these companies are getting services on top that wouldn't be provided if they went direct.
yeah, unfortunately i'm a techy too and the funny thing is that the sales guys couldn't do their jobs without us, except they are earning waaay more than us.
i wish i could show you the cost price and rrp on our stock system for hp stuff, but i figure it's not really something i should do, but just to give you an idea, our top sales guy is taking home around £10k in commission this month.
that is nothing. i will post a cam phone pic of a certain large phone operating system companies server room when i'm in there in a few weeks time. if i said it had a LOT of servers in there, that wouldn't even come close to what you think when you walk in there in real life.

arse, best part of £300 down the drain and i wasn't chancing my luck running across the m25 to try and pick up the remains from the fast lane.
anyway, lesson learnt, the suction cup...
500gb is taking a piss a little on an adsl service.
£20 a month covers their costs for around 7gb bandwidth.
it works on the basis that low usage customers subsidise high usage customers. when you use 500gb then it will take hundreds and hundreds of low usage customers just to subsidise you...
yes there are isp's who do not traffic shape, but they have hard caps instead.
i am almost up to my 5 post per day limit, so if i don't reply then that is why.
if anyone wants to add me to msn to finish this discussion, adamkendal@hotmail.com
ok, only reason i haven't commented further is cos i've been busy with work this week.
bt broadband, bt wholesale, and bt openreach are all totally separate entities. bt wholesale provision the broadband services, bt openreach fix physical faults, and bt broadband are middle men who just sell...
