ok, i could trail an extension lead across the house while the installer is here and then tell him i am going to put it up through the loft when he is gone. do they supply any extension cable, or should i go buy a really long one today?
i'm having sky+ installed in my room on monday, i don't have a phoneline in here, only broadband. the nearest phone socket it over the other side of the house in our office.
what will the sky installer do about this?
he can't put an extension cable from here to there because we have wooden...
sorry, i wasn't being rude, i read the pm and then totally forgot to reply.
they interviewed somebody for the other job and offered him a position, he hasn't given a yes or a no yet, but they were very impressed with him.
it's mainly helpdesk based, although you will go out on site too.
i will train you up for a month to begin with so you know who our customers are and how everything works.
there is a fair bit of AD/exchange and server admin, although masses of knowledge isn't necessary, but a little experience...
i run a dell 2407 with my xbox360 running through vga, the 2407 also has component, dvi, composite, and svideo inputs.
it runs at 1920x1200 normally for my pc, and 1920x1080 for the xbox360.
i am doing mcse at the moment and my company have paid for online tuition for us, along with buying me all the books too.
the problem is, i am so lazy and haven't even taken the first exam yet because i haven't had time to read the books or look at the online lessons.
i also hate usb pen sticks that are too big to fit in usb ports with anything else plugged in around them, and loads are too big to plug into the front panel on some pc's due to the surrounding plastic.
grrrr, was working on a site today doing some overtime and is it just me who gets really annoyed that people actually screw in their monitor plug into the back of their pc.
is there really any need?
it seems a really silly pet hate, but it really annoys me. it's not like the cable is gonna...
i dunno if you've read some of my previous posts about the company, but it is the most awesome company to work for. 40 employees, in april we turned over around £4m. company trips to barcelona in the summer, skiing in march, lunches bought pretty regularly, company credit card and phone...
i'm talking people with a large amount of experience that are capable of taking on large scale projects, preferablly mcse, ccna, vmware, citrix, hp certified. if you don't have the qualifications but have large amounts of experience then the company would pay for you to take the certifications...
w810i is great, but just a bit boring by todays standards, plus everybody has one.
saying that, battery life is great, and it does everything else well.
i have one and it's coming up for a year old and has had a fair bit of abuse and still looks practically new.
what are you on about?
that cable is vga to rca.
that means it takes the signal from your graphics card and sends it to your tv.
it doesn't work the other way round.
if you use the beta version of newsleecher 3.9 then you won't need to do anything with the par files, it will do all the par'ing and extracting for you.
people are so pikey.
you expect to get movies/games/apps for free, but you won't pay a tenner for the hosting to do that.
seriously, you need to have a word with yourself.
