Ahh right okay so really for me it's make the saftey to the 'blue book' then technically I could enter but may not be competitive in the class if people are on boddies ect ect
@sonny172cup
Think I have just watched some of your videos on Facebook, trying to figure of what sort of lap times are...
Ignore the last bit about regs just realised class A is the modified class....think I will come down to one at some point will have a look at the calendar, it's just getting my head around what I need extra and what I have to change so I can have a look around
I'm in Cheshire mate around 10 mins from Oulton Park... I go cadwell often for my track days but it is a journey over there...
Ahh right okay few things will need to be changed then will have to have a read.
The regs for the standard class located on the same page?
So it's currently
Half cage - ( I know I would need full MsA cage)
Front and rear strut brace
RARB
Standard engine -(upgrade panel filter)
Brembo HC discs + carbon Lorraine Rc6 pads (front) RC5 pads (rear)
888 tyres (dry) federal rsr (damp/wet)
Front 12mm wheel spacers
Solid engine...
Brilliant thanks for this, so you are in the A class in guessing?
How many are normally at the race meetings? I'm going to see how much I need to do to the car as I currently have it set up for track use only but from reading the regs I may need to change a few things
Maybe a silly question but I may start racing my Clio however I am trying to find out what I would be allowed to go in....
I have a Clio 172 cup currently stripped out and few other mods not to bothered about that for now I can sort those things out.
What I am looking for is what championship...
So my power steering pressure switch has blown after track day at Cadwell now after sourcing a second hand one that was working fine has now cracked after a track day at oulton!
Any idea why they are going so easy cousin it be the age of them? I have checked all the pipes to make sure they are...
I would imagine the back would be expensive and j have never seen anyone with the back window done?
@Daniel have you stripped all your door card then and got all the mechanism out?
Maybe abit of a silly question but I have a Clio that I use just for track.
What sort of saving is the weight from poly windows?
Also how do they fit as I cannot seem to get my head around it!
Cheers Josh
I wouldn't mind a few stickers but I don't like loads or massive stickers but would happily consider a number / abit of advertising to go in rear window etc
@StuOwen86
Yeah that's the same as me it suited the car then they just lost the colour and were horrible and was fed up f cleaning them!
But yeah great pads, just incase you were wondering I have standard discs in the back and my Rc5 pads not even wearing haha
@MarkX if your wheels are white change them it's basically impossible to keep them clean haha
I have gone black now and clean them every track day and they are okay!
I have had 2 sets of CL now I have RC5 and they were good for first track day but then they crumbled under heavy braking at oulton when it was a hot day! I now run RC6 with brembo HC discs and they are amazing, never once had fade from them.
But yes a lot of dust comes from them which isn't...
Maybe a silly question how the hell do you get this out and what is it attatched to as i cant seem to get at mine to well. Is it just a matter of geting it and ripping it out or is their anything i should look out for?
On mine I have my front hard but I have noticed sometimes that when I am on the brakes hard it can become very solid and if it's bumpy going into braking it bounces abit, then same on the rear I run an ARB and have that herd in the dry and soft In wet.
Cadwell is good though for hard in my...
Finally got round to sorting this, the problem was the pressure switch. Been the local scrap yard an got another one £4 bargain!
Just wonder what's the best fluid to put back in it as its drained it all? Car is just for track use.
@NorthloopCup
Thanks
Yeahh will do see how much has been lost, it was probably a good 15 mins of engine running after I went off circuit and then another 15 mins getting car on and off trailer.
Thanks for the guidance let the fun begin.
@NorthloopCup tbh I think the pump was on its way out its used to give the odd loud noise when I'm full lock or turning at very low revs or little movement.
I probably only ran for another 100 meters as I soon went in the grass when I lost my steering going into the straight, it seemed to drain...
This may sound like a silly question but here we go...
I was at Cadwell Park on Saturday and my power steering went a put fluid everywhere, how easy will I be able to tell if it is my power steering pump or just a pipe that is leaking or what?
From what I could see it covered my alternator...
Yeah not a massive difference but it will free up all the crap that is in the standard one, could try and pick up a 182 manifold then full system but you can get in the queue behind me for one of them haha @Jcalver
@Jcalver
Did you have a look around my clio yesteray?
I don't use mine on the road at all but mine is done on the cheap I got everything either off her or straight of ebay.
Second hand Gaz Coilovers - £190 cleaned them up never had a problem.
Rear ARB like @tomhunt85 said I personally think...
