@sonny172cup @Tony Hunter has either of you got time table for the race at Oulton could have a look at or could you post the times in here so I know when to come for! Cheers
@StuOwen86 after my Rc6 problem at Oulton I suggest some lovely road pads....;) think I am going with the DS1.11 all round this time and have a clean up of discs.
@sonny172cup shat odd do you guys use? I was on a Trackday on Tuesday and my pads gave way (Carbon Lorraine RC6)
Any advice appreciated and have you changed your bias on yours as mine seems very front heavy!
No not the belt, it's more of a wining noise like say I put it on full lock and move it will be wining then as soon as I pull away or get moving it will stop, it doesn't affect the car just sounds like it's going to give up
I have posted a few things regarding power steering however I think my PaS pump is on its way out, when at low speeds turning (like less than 10mps) it will wine/squeak like mad....is this the lump on its way out?
Also I have notice at my last track day it will do it now and again when going...
@dinger thanks for the info and for the attempt at sale...not looking to buy just yet as just getting everything planned I will probably get rid of my RSR first or just destroy them over winter they get some
Yeh I use 888 for dry at the minute and prefer to Dunlop....if that's allowed haha but...
@sonny172cup just wondering what tyres do you run in the wet?
I did a stupidly wet say atangkesey the other day and had federal RSR's and felt that good road tyres may have been better
Just be good to get an idea what you use
@Russ Rallye @Tony Hunter
My RC5 pads crumbled on me and I have had a few other people say the same.
I have Hc discs and RC6 pads, they make a lot of noise but perfect for what I use
My big money will be spend over the winter trying to get ready for racing next year, was thinking an RS2 inlet but then might just make the jump to bodies haha
@Chambers_RS where did you get your poly windows from
@Chambers_RS have to let me know what it is like.
What's your plan just by a DCi manual rack and fit it take all the unnecessary stuff out and see how it goes?
My Clio is used just for track and will be racing next year, my only worry is that it's going to be tight say around 20mph corners or...
Does anyone run a manual steering rack?
Before people say it's to hard and not worth it, I use the car just for track and is trailered around everywhere.
I am racing the car next year and I keep having issues with my power steering at the minute so think I might just bin it all off and go...
@Tomotek cone down/up to Oulton in October I thinks it's the 3rd me and @Scottty4eva are going down to meet the team as we are hoping to join the championship next year!
should be able to have some more feedback regarding the federal RSR tomorrow - on a track day at anglesey tomorrow and its given warm temp with drizzle and rain so I will run some different pressures and see how we get on.. I also run 888 so we shall see.
Ahh right okay....would you say they were worth the money? Like I said earlier we might have 2 cars in the championship next year and maybe thinking 2 different set ups
Hopefully if all goes to plan with the 2 cars we can have one with a throttle bodies set up and one with RS2 set up - did someone say they are back for sale....?
Like Scotts thread said he is doing a full rebuild mine will just be converted from its currect 'Track day state'
Do you all prefer...
Yeah jsut looking at options at the minute, I think @Scottty4eva who is also joing will be using throttle bodies so will have to see what works better. However it would be nice to have 2 cars that are in the championship with different set ups that are still competative
Very Interesting, my car is no where near that bhp yet but still debating what set up to get...bodies (If i can find the money) alos was tempted with the old/new JMS RS2 inlet set up correctly seems to be okay...your thoughts would be good on this.
However just for comparison I currently run...
