I personally would have said "£100?! I think I'll be taking this further". Also show em this thread an what we as Clio owners think of this. That's an insult offering you £100 off. . Even at 8 years old a car shouldn't catch fire. My old 106 which is about 17 years old is still going fine, no...
The fronts can handle 40rms an the rears are 35rms. An nah, I thought I could set the frequencies, however alpine decided to leave it off the one hu I end up buying haha.
Hey guys, I've got an Alpine IDA-X001, running Alpines SXE1350s in the front and SXE1325s in the rear. However when I turn up louder, it sounds s**te. I plan to run my sub in the boot soon an would like to cut all bass going to the speakers, however I dont have any form of high pass filters etc...
Still a bag of shite, this was less than a year ago I had problems with em. Total muppet operation who's all friendly an smiles till the second they get your hard earned cash.
In reply to chappers, yea bristol trade centre are gash. I would avoid them like a syringe full of aids! Bought a year old corsa sxi from them with the exhaust trim missing and found out the rear bumper was just standard one that'd been cut. They tried saying it was sold as seen and fit for...
Yea I was thinking the same when I seen it was a 51 plate. Maybe a pre-facelift after sale? I know when I was at vauxhall we used to sell pre-facelifts at a lowered cost an register them on new plates.
An thanks mick, that's her main worry out the way. I'll take another look at the CL tomorrow...
Hey guys, so the missus mum just bought an Clio Alize on a 51 plate, with 80k on the Clock for the low price of £500. However it seems to have a few problems (obviously at that price).
First is the passenger window. I took the door panel off an discovered that the motor is screwed and the...
Nice example of a 1*2 spotted by the Rovers ground in Bristol, looked in my rear view an spotted a ClioSport Sticker in your rear window. I was in the gold clio headin towards town :).
Hmm I'm not sure, the only bit loose from the stalk/display loom is a headphone looking plug, an I don't think it's long enough to reach up there anyways, I'm hoping that just goes into the back of the stereo haha. Seems alot of effort just for my display to say "Renault" haha.
Here's the adapter:)
Hey guys, just wondered, with our clios, is it possible to access the rear of the stereo from behind the glove box? or is this a dash off jobbie? Going to be installing a new stereo tomorrow, but got the stalk/display adapter in the loom etc, so wanna make sure it's all in nicely an leaving...
Not seen green done much on a clio, might work though, but we need a full colour photo, got a feeling I'll hate it though haha! An lose the Fli subwoofer, just a chavs fart cannon!
Wow that 3rd one is a prime example of why you should never give a 1*2 to a complete asshole kid! They're beautiful the way they are, why people choose to f**k em up with cheap lights, silly stickers an crap alloys is beyond me!
Yea I was looking at these, was thinking it's the easiest way to go about amping my speakers whilst not having to worry about tweeters or cross overs etc. Just don't wanna part with £100 haha, stingy fooker I am these days!
Cheers for the replies guys, this is all just a little confusing me now haha. I'm thinking maybe they're just being underpowered by the JVC HU, cause the stock speakers sounded alright through the JVC. Gonna fit an Alpine IDA X001 tomorrow which has 4x60w output iirc, an around 18RMS (not sure...
I've wired em up via this adapter (although in this photo this was me wiring up the tweeters).
I put the red to the larger positive output on the rear of the speaker, and the black to the smaller negative, at least that's how the s**te diagram on the back of the Alpine box pointed it out...
Hi guys, just wondering if anyones managed to do a flip key for their older clios yet? I managed to do it with my Peugeot 107, which came with a standard key like ours, an it was just a simple case of opening both keys up an moving the circuit board over from the old to the new key housing. I've...
I'll go try that in a minute actually, cheers. An they just sound abit flat an farty when you turn em up, even the stock ones went louder and didn't act like that. An yea, I only put the JVC in as a temp till I can get that Alpine sorted lol.
We all learn some way or another, if unsure it's always best to ask. I personally hate having to ask, but I'd rather ask than f**k my car up trying to do something I'm unsure of!
