Its a 182 anyway mate, although I do have another 182 manifold I was holding back for my 172 if any of the 172 cammed boys fancy it ;) also got the cat if you fancy making yourself an MOT friendly exhaust
How do they vary with the GT cams though, what are the gains and downfalls? I like the ammount of torque the Gt cams create lower down and apparently the dip through the mid range is normal for a cammed car? Just from what Fred told me ofcourse, I've never looked to much into the N/A side of...
I'd be looking at around 170-180 bhp atf.
If its running say 160-165, its worth getting the timing checked, I'd make sure ED use the propper timing tools, although I'm sure they will
I'm starting to lean further towards the 438's now after seeing a few results, only thing I'm worried about is it having an uneven idle and crappy drivability for normal driving. I know that the GT cams that fred is supplying certainly idle very smooth and sams car sounded nuts when it hit 5k RPM.
Here we go then,
Splitter fitted, lowered, Arb'd up and a few other things
Small Aerial
This arrived this morning
Very pleased with the car, now to get my 3/4 private plate fitted and a good detailing session
Cheers for the comments chaps, I owned if for 2 hours and was away up hartside, along to penrith and took a drive into keswick, lets just say the trophy is well and truely forgotten
If it stops raining I'll get some new pics of it with the propper camera
Re: Clio Sport No.7
Its the one off my old cup, from a ph2 megane, looks spot on, I'm going to give it a clean, polish and wax tomorrow if the weather holds out, then I'll get some updated pics of it :)
Re: Clio Sport No.7
Yeah I'm happy to stick a fiver on it that theres absolutely no chance of it being broken, unless something catastrophic happens, however I happen to have a spare 182 engine and box there anyway if s**t gets real
Re: Clio Sport No.7
Come on chaps I dont want the thread clogged up full of crap, if you want to have the debate over what its technically called, do it somewhere else, cheers
Re: Clio Sport No.7
Y948 GCL - Iceburg Ph1
T700PHY - Trophy
EJ53YZH - Iceburg Cup
YE52OAB - Monaco
LF54LRK - Current BG 182
The other two I cant remember lol.
Re: Clio Sport No.7
Cheers for the comments.
Yeah Luke, Still got it, however all that remains is the rear axle, subframe and dash board and the shell. Makes me sad when I look at old pics of it lol
As the title suggests, this is my seventh clio Sport, some silly bug got me into it 3 years ago and for some reason I still cant find anything better for the money.
So this is the details about the car,
182 FF in Black Gold, 75k miles, couple of mature owners, well serviced and belts done at...
If you can be bothered, buy a set of kw variant 2's and have them machined out to accept the cup pack fitment, KW suspension is much better than bilstein, h&r and Spax.
