Quite true.
Like anything on this forum though, you'll never get a unbiased view on them. I would imagine it's the same on any other car specific forum aswell.
Yeah, you're right Roy. It ran off of compressed.
There is however a bloke who made a scale replica of a Ferrari, and that did have a working engine. But it was nowhere near as small.
Sounds like the resistor pack as you say. I can refurb them, but I'm not in the country for a while.
You can get them from Ebay cheap enough though. And yes, you are fine to remove it and still run the car. I'd stick the plug in a bag and tie wrap it though, just incase water gets in there.
I have had a search around and I seem to get conflicting information.
Just so I don't order the wrong stuff, what fitment Osram Night breaker bulbs do I need?
High Beam, H1 or H4?
Low Beam, H7?
Cheers.
But that is on a 106, not a Clio!!!!!! Standard brakes on a 106 are rubbish! Did you read any of my other posts? Like the one where I mention I have a 106 and have 4 pots on it? And that I think they are fantastic on it?
The brakes are great on the Clio. And that is why people suggest not...
I don't dislike them. As I have said before, I have them fitted on the Rallye.
But IMO I think you can benefit from spending the money somewhere else.
However, this is not what the thread is about, the OP is going to buy some anyway.
End thread.
