200 with a fat tw@t in it driving ethusiastically on A-B roads will return 28-29 mpg.
Drive it like it's stolen = 24-25
Drive it like my dead Grannie = 33-35.
You can get a new one for 25795 - so depreciation not looking too bad for the FRS.

If my budget was c £30k - I wouldn't be going anywhere near a Renault.

Worth a look at that price.
The problem with the 250 is it's price.
Cheapest I've seen is £20.5k.
It's a lot of £££ for a french pos - probably lose c £10k in the first 3 years .
If you got the cash go for the 250.
But there's nowt wrong with a 200 :D

44.1 mpg is not possible in a 200 (110% guaranteed)
hmmm - 6ft 2 inches flat in a clio.

ps on a side note - next time you're in B&Q and looking at the baths all stacked together spare a thought for one of the girls in my office who was convinced they were flat packed baths :D
Just tried Miss Daisy style driving on usual route home (Normal average 28.5 mpg).
Last thing I saw before falling asleep was 37.5 mpg.
Apologies to the yaris for holding you up :sleepy:
Get yourself a nice spot in the cafe at the Hotel De Paris in Monte Carlo and dream for half an hour at the exotica that passes through.
Two that I spotted
I aint talking about general driving though.
I'm talking about trying to get 5000 miles out of a tank of fuel.
If you coast in gear you'll slow down quicker - then you'll have to speed up again and repeat. Coasting out of gear means that you slow down over greater distances and (depending...
Yes.
Returning a rent a van that was supplied empty and you didn't get any cash for any fuel you left in it.
8 Miles short of destination - Van conks out on the hard shoulder of the A1 :o
Sent the r****d who said "There's plenty left" after we passed the previous Petrol Station to get...
If you coast in gear then you're obviously going to slow faster than if you coast in Neutral. The trick is working out which one is more fuel efficient for your car / road conditions.
Eg Coasting down a 40 mile hill in gear will save more fuel than coasting down it in Neutral.
But how many...
