Anyway - there were always rumors that this was gonna happen - I suppose you took your chance's. Losing on-line play might seem trivial if you play off-line all the time but I think you missing out on so much of the 360 features and what makes you coming back...

yeah if doing text in photoshop the file needs to be a minimum of 600dpi at 100% size otherwise you get jaggies :)
Ideally do the picture as a tif drop it quark/indesign then do the text in quark/indesign - export the file to a press ready PDF.
oh and make sure you add bleed!!!!
Yeah I think you might lose some definition on it. Of course there is a simple work around and get it printed on a digital press :) although you can't beat traditional litho in my book.
Speak with the printers your going to use and ask their opinion on it - might not be a problem at all.
as long its not set up in powerpoint and RGB which we often get here!
Stick to the pantone guide and you can't go far off the mark - like its been said already you'll never get a perfect match.

Having a nightmare getting roaming profiles to work and redirecting 'my documents' client side (not using GPO) the option is grayed out unlike XP.
