You wont get any problems with cops, half of them dont know what HID's are and most of them probably don't know the laws on HID's. The only thing you may have problems with is when you go for an mot. But you can always take the HID kit out and put standard bulbs back in when you get it done...

I did that just to see how it sounded. It sounded like a tractor with a big bore exhaust on NOS. Think i'll keep it standard lol.

Hi, I want to do something to my engine cover like spray it, but not sure what to do. Baring in mind i have a black car so any colour will suit. Could people post in pics of their's if they have done something to their's so i can get a good idea of what to do. Cheers. Jamie.

I'm getting that too but dont have a clue what it is :( mines worst in reverse. Dont think its driveshaft though, that tends to make a knocking noise.

Only look nice on audi's or brand new car's with them factory fitted. Wouldn't waste your money tbh, just get LED sidelights if you want something along them lines, its not in your face and looks alright.

I've heard that VTR's can keep up with them. Fiesta's are s**t car's, i've had one and would never go back.

Yeah thats fair enough like i said it was a few milliseconds out and it was a spare of the moment thing hence why i didn't use decent equiptment, but i still think its pretty good for a 1.6 and the top speed was definately correct. Yeah it sounds fast but 1.6 clios are very fast for what they are.

Yeah fair enough the 0-60 was done on stop watch so will have been a few milliseconds out but it definately beat 9.1 seconds and it was 8.0 seconds my best if not very near to it. and my top speed was done on the good old tomtom

Well i did. I had 4 attempts and 8.0 came out as my best time, my worst was 8.9 and everyone knows that the books are always wrong. Apparently my car tops out at 120 but it will easily get to 125. Plus why does everyone think 1.6 clio's are slow, they are a hell of alot quicker than the 1.2's...

yeah i think they are, apparently you need auto leveling and light washers to have them

Sorry but i hate non-sports that try and look like a sport. Whats the point? Just face it you haven't got a sport, either buy one or make your non-sport look nice, not something its not.

Just wondering what everyone's 0-60mph times are if anyones tested theirs. I've just tested my 1.6 16v and it came out at 8.0 secs exactly, which i think is fairly good :) so i want to see how it compares to other clio engine sizes or even other 1.6's.

Is you're favourite shop halfords? Ripspeed pedals and an edge sub? Seriously, save up and get decent mods if your keeping the car.
