The 5's booked into wallace performance next week for alignment to finally get rid of the ridiculous camber so it might actually go straight through corners! lol
I'll be tehre got mates up from surrey who want to come along so i'll easy park with folk if we are doing a stand. At least have 1 jap/RWD car there ;)
Haha to space those wheels to fill the arches they would need to be 60mm at least! Thats a fair size spacer lol. Low offset to start and then less spacer needed :)
Haha yer the track will be going wider one way or another! Ive got a mate who's said he can make me up some bolt on spacers when i need so just get the size I need at the time!
Unfortunatly the offset is miles high, would need stupid spacers to make them work! lol. Look nice tho.
Cheers John no doubt will be, after wednesdays nights antics i dont think it'll be until i've got new wheels and tyres. Those ones were hilariously bad!
I almost bought a set of OZ Ultraleggeras off ebay but the offsets were really high. Any wheels I get need to have as low offset as possible the fronts on atm are 8j 0et as far as im aware, and look how much they still need spacing!
I like grids but you see so many with them, I've only seen one...
Cheers mate, you know how it is start with small plans and they just grow and grow!
Yep thinking XXR 527. Also looked at XXR 002 but just not fully sold on the look seem more stance style than track car! Thought of the standard rota's as well but open to idea all the same!
Right its been an age and as usual the 'it only needs this done' statement soon grew to 'oh s**t what have i bought!', so apologies for the mammoth pic heavy update!
So when i got the car i knew that there would be body repairs as the mx5 sill rot had taken hold but the extent of this wasn't...
I'll be down and on track! Had the 5 on track for the first time tonight, all went well apart from a caliper bolt shearing lucky it wasnt under hard braking and crawled back to pits but will be an easy fix for Sunday!
I Never put my mane down as i wasn't sure on shift dont know if theres any spaces left. Think i'll be at the track night on the 3rd of july, think its with track scotland and the week before on the 27th of june if i get back from Shetland in enough time!
Yer we were out, didn't catch it on camera we were further back so just got you off in the gravel. Yer that and the shed of a black 172 that was out, watched our video back was scary! He went up the inside of us at the bottom of Duffus then inside of a guy at Scotsman then past squeezed past 2...
Was a black one. So I've heard, last year was my first year on track and only did hot hatch days, they didn't seem too bad. But some people yesterday were on another level! Some of the driving when we looked back at the footage last night made for funny/scary viewing!
Ah I thought it might have been you out in our group, wasn't sure so never came over to say hi! :o Was a passenger in the mk5 fiesta all day. At least that off wasn't as bad as we thought, we thought there might have been contact as there was 2 cars off especially after seeing some of the...
Ah yer mate from work was looking into staying down somewhere and going on Monday too. I'll speak to him and see if he's booked it and might come along to that as well.
Nice one. Just got to see if the welding on my car will be done in time to get an MOT done before the weekend, otherwise I'll be a passenger for the day :(
Anybody going along to this?
Group of us from Aberdeen have had this booked for a while as 1st track day of the year. We didn't notice its a ford day though so we'll just have to see how busy it is!
