Well its about time for a little update!
Firstly apologies for the large pictures not sure how to make them smaller!
First job on had was to take a look at re-adjusting the coilovers as it was just sat on its arse and rode like s**t! Once i had got all the wheels off i found why it was riding...
Ah yer not had to park up on a sunday, surly for meeting/photos somewhere like here would be good?
Could be far enough out the way for there not to be too many golfers and its quite nice for photos along there ...
Yer that sounds good to me, see how many from up here we can get driving down! See so many in clios Aberdeen but dont seem to be many on here.
Not sure on the food front only ever driven through on the way to crail getting horrendous looks for disturbing peoples Sunday!
Haha thats fine its about 2 and a half hour drive down over fettercairn, so as long as its not a ridiculously early start! Oh and I meant fettercairn road not the tommintoul road that would be just a bit of a detour!
sounds like a good idea john. North lot could meet say Banchory so people up north who aren't from aberdeen dont have to come all the way in, then drive over Tomintoul road and down to st andrews. Then can just have a steady run back up the a 90 and folk can go their own way.
Id be keen for st Andrews direction, decent roads and nice location. Will be at kh for first trackday of the year on the 19th with a load of folk so will see you guys there!
Pfft we'll see! Spent the day setting up the suspension set up so now its cornering like it should be.
Iirc 'he who shall be last, shall be sideways and smilling'
Was hoping I would be able to christen the new car on track at this, but looks like the welding work wont be getting done until the week after :(. So i wont be hitting the track until the end of may.
Cheers guys, Once the welding gets done and the arches go on it should look better.
Wheels wise im going to see how i get on with the steels, they are massive at the rear 9j's! Its was meant to be sold on grids but the seller had failed to inform me that all of the tyres were bald and one to...
After 18 months of clio ownership, and loving every minuite, I didnt think I would be selling up any time soon! But after a mate at work let me have a go of his mx5 he recently got, I loved it and got me thinking. And so started the classifieds browsing!
Now I've never been a massive fan of...
I would be up for this, theres alot of clios in Aberdeen but think only a few on here. I know of a few drives about up here if people are fancying a drive. Only hour and a half up the road fraser! could just drive south deeside road.
Looks like a great turn out! Gutted i couldnt be there but was to busy being drunk in murrayfield! Hopefully get some more with turn outs like this later in the year!
Looks like a good job there! Only thing i might have changed is maybe chamfering it down to the hole rather than the flat area around the holeif you know what i mean? But looks great non the less!
Sorry guys looks like i'm going to be a fail and drop out of this :( Same weekend as Scotland vs. Ireland 6 Nations game I've got tickets for so will be in Edinburgh!
Welcome mate! Good to see more and more people from north of the border joining up! No need to strip it for track I always track mine with full interior and its my daily, Enjoy the car!
Fair enough he'll probably be heading straight down we took a bit of a detour coming back last time just for the fun. Haha true true! never know might get the random RB doing drive-bys repeatedly past us again!
Im heading from Aberdeen I'm the only one that way as far as I know. Nah think that place will be fine if you call in advance when number are a bit more certain Liam. They were pretty dead last time so I cant see it being much trouble unless the snow is good then it will be busy with...
Sorry to hijack your thread but this is just what I was going to ask! Im thinking of replacing the ball joints and track rods as well. Will be good to see what, if anything else is needed!
Thats him I just looked in some old messages and found his name. Yer? It was a great drive back then be good excuse to do it again, Brakes were smoking last time! May get my flat mate along for the run in his fiesta for some more numbers.
