An E46 M3 is still a better drive, IMO. Undoubtedly an RS4 is a nicer all rounder, but then the E92 M3 moves on the game even further and Audi have done nothing decent since.
Spot on. Later car benefits from slightly improved suspension, and its nice to know you've had all the engineering tweaks over the years that never get mentioned in the brochures.
I've had three Smarts.
Then had this.
Currently rolling in a Golf 105ps TDI as a daily. It is boring (hence no pics), but i have to say it is a fine all rounder and its nice to be a car with a decent ride for a change. With a few more options and a bit more power it would be a very good...
Thanks for the advice guys, starting to go over my head!
Nick, i'll think i'll need some lessons in exchange for a couple of drinks ;) Looks like the 550d is the way to go then as my first priority is HD video for work.
Not much of a peak! They are overrated...
God knows what it drinks in supercharged form, as standard is bad enough! I do like them a lot though, but it has to be Avant.
Re: let us see pictures off your old cars you owned
Thanks. Hard being awesome.
In Brabus form, they are genuinely nippy (100bhp/730kg) but making them go round corners is a massive challenge; but i actually like that 'character' about them. Of course, the biggest benefit is you can park them...
Re: let us see pictures off your old cars you owned
Good to hear it is being used properly, although i wish i didn't sell it. Was at the wrong time too, when prices dipped and now they're back up!
The guy was the son of a Ford dealership owner, his first car was a 911 and now he was 'slumming...
Re: let us see pictures off your old cars you owned
First road car, a new 1.2 'Extreme', with my rather disillusioned number plate. It had FK coilovers, 4 pots, the lot! Spent silly money on it.
Bought a Mini Cooper when popularity was at its peak; for a change i barely lost any money in...
Yeah, but didn't Ant also get KSport brakes "'Cos they use 'em in drifting", that form of motorsport known for its especially hard use of brakes ;)
Also, why come out with something like "Nothing wrong with Rotas...". That is like storming into the room and completely ignoring what everyone...
My main uses are going to be car related stuff, both static shots and in-car filming. I will also use the camera at work, to film 'webinar' type presentations for the web.
Is there a decent lens guide out there?
So i'm looking to get my first SLR and am wondering to go for the most basic available, or is it a false economy? Should i get a more established model or start off with the cheapest because i wouldn't get the most out of it?
I want to use a camera as much for HD movies as i do photos BTW...
The C70 is certainly a handsome car, but you need a reality check on the others you've had.
I would love a 145, a later '70s model but with the earlier look. Something like this would be lovely, but they are very difficult to find in the UK. But still, a great entry level classic when you can...
Congrats on the purchase and nice write up. I like those shaped Evos but would be terrified of it getting nicked or at least vandalised; i couldn't live with the stress!
Make sure you take it to Oulton, great circuit and i'm sure it would suit the Evo.
