as much as i hate to say it, having even owned a 500bhp audi i cant find anything that makes me giggle like a clio :(
sure the audi was fast but being so heavy corner wasnt so fun, unless you really pushed it into oversteer, which again, was fun, but i kinda prefer sticking to the road rather...
but did you try speedbump jumping after the new box was fitted? as if so i'm sure that therein will lie your problem.
My interest in buying this is very quickly wavering.............
speaking to dave this avo he did apparently
obviously he cant do geo, but if it was my car and i had an issue like then i'd be getting it aligned as my first port of call!
did see no mention of a geo check. although surely with all that work you wouldve done one?
to be honest, take the map off which should remove the hesitation, get the geo done (and hope that the issue isnt because its been unrecorded damaged) and should be good for £1500
if youre good with spanners, have the storage space, and the perseverance then its worth breaking it really, but if you lack 1 of the above just stomach the loss and sell it i reckon
well its a house i've been eyeing up for a long long time and knocked one day and asked the owners if they had any plans to sell. this was 6 months or so ago, then out of the blue got a call, price was more or less right, so have gone for it :)
Managed to change a few bits and hit 490/540, but now sold, as I've just bought a house, and pennies are going towards a sub £1k runner and some decorating :D
Gonna miss it loads but nice tidy profit so all's well :)
Mines plummeted since I moved away from clios.
FF 172 tpft with 10k mile limit -£550
440bhp Audi S4 with all mods declared, fully comp and no mileage limit -£690!
Bloody love Brentacre!
Was with them for years but when I got my ph1 they insured it as a Clio 1.2, called up, was assured it was sorted, new cover note as a 1.2 again, gave them one final chance and still could t sort it.
So called my current insurer Brentacre, didn't even get put on hold, went straight through and...
Still no massive updates really.
Have given it a good once over and a clean and toyed with the damping a bit. Managed to almost completely dial out the understeer, so it's a lot more chuckable and just needs a Hotchkiss ARB at the back to improve the turn in that little bit more
Exhaust is...
For the mounts if they are grp n loosen them all off a bit and then let the car run for 20 mins before tightening again.
Should mean they settle out and the vibration should go away. I had the same issue and that cured it :)
Yeah I know I have no further pics yet, but not had a chance to get out to a decent spot as of yet!
A few new bits being done though. Getting the suspension set up at xsport again as they did a great job on the Clio before, and also getting a Bosch 044 fuel pump, water/meth injection and a map...
He's had it a while.
The cage cost him a grand
Tailgate and screen 450
Bonnet 450
Wheels and coils maybe a grand together
In total I'd hazard a guess at total spend maybe Of around 6-7k on parts, 14k would mean somebody was laughing to the bank over what they charged you on labour!
I still find it an absolute joke that you spent all that money and the car never saw a track. I used to see it down at xsport quite a bit and though it looked pretty nice, but to do all that and never use it as had obviously been intended? Stupid really
Price wise if you're lucky maybe £3500...
Tbh that sounds a little on the low side. Had a quick peek and we're looking at 1950 below average, 2100 ave and £2400 clean based on an 04 with those miles.
But as said above, trading in against a car only worth £3500 any garage will offer you less, especially as they won't have a massive...
Yeah wide body would be lovely :)
Thing is though, apparently the intercooler wot fit under the rs4 front bumper, plus I kinda like the sleeper thing :)
