And took her out for a jolly to try and find some good scenery. Found bugger all so just took some pictures infront of a church. What do you think peeps? Still need to try and get that bonnet sitting right, bit high on offside around headlight. And need one of the plastic trims that goes under...
Been wanting a Xbox 360 for ages now and seeing as I get paid on thursday I'll be taking the plunge. Think I'll either take the Makro offer of premium package for £199.99+vat so £235 ish or Choices offer of £259.99 (or 269.99 not sure) for premium package + PES6. Is PES 6 anygood? Also I will...
Has anyone done this? Saw one somewhere on a forum with a white valver with 172 engine in but it was in foreign. Wondered how much hard work the wiring would be. Could you use the 172 engine and car loom and just change a few bits or is it very complicated?
Had a rough time since last sumemr with my valver. As some of you may recall I smashed it up and went to a lot of qwork to get it somewhere near road worthy again. Check out this thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=184828&highlight=Project+Tungsten
3 days after getting back...
All in a hard days work. Went to Amirs this morning and we used my engine crane to lift the engine out of his car (bye bye storm trooper). We then took the engine back to mine where we changed the clutch and gearbox.
Then we put it into the tungy and started connecting everything up. By 1:30...
For a valver. Don't know if this is the correct name but that's practically what it is anyway. It's pressed into a bracket that sits behind the cambelt rear cover. It just seems a bit noisy and I want to replace it whilst it's in bits so that the engine runs nice and smooth when back together...
About time and all haha. Amir came round this morning and we took the engine out of the beast on the right and took the gearbox and clutch off, then disconnected all of the engine on mine so it's ready to lift out. All in all a good half days work.
As you can see. Nice square lifting of the...
Due an upgrade in a couple of weeks. Currently got a Nokia N70 on O2 butr thinking about moving away from Nokia as they don't seem to have brought out much good lately. Anyone got any reccomendations?
To save me a lot of hassle of ringing around; Does anyone know where I might be able to find a reconditioned box and how much I'm likely to pay? If the prices are horrific I'll just try and find a second hand box.
Thanks
Brad
Right. I posted some pics of my valver a week or two back as it was getting near to roadworthy condition. By last friday I was back driving it and everything seemed to be going well, although I do know that there is an oil leak frm the engine. Then driving about on sunday evening I start to hear...
Driving about tonight. And notice a whirring noise appear whilst driving in third. Gradually got worse and appeared in all gears. The whirring noise gets more high pitched as the revs increase. Is my gearbox on its way out? :(
When I'm braking, just as the cars about to come to a stop It makes a grating noise and the brake pedal vibrates. Is this the ABS kicking in for some reason? If so why is it doing this? Happeneing at all speeds/force of braking.
Right, need new sills on the valver as they're damaged and rusty. I can get the sills, but I was wondering if anyone knows roughly how much it will cost for someone to cut out the current sills and weld on the new ones? Also if anyone reccomends any garages in Leicester where I could get this...
Right, as some of you may remember. I smashed my poor tungsten valver up about 5 months ago now. Only now is it getting somewhere near to getting back on the road. Had a lot of work to do (Engine out strip and change lots of bits on it, pulling out front of chassis, replacement subframe and...
He wants 6 and a half for it! Having a bubble surely!? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Renault-Clio-1-4-16v-Dynamique-Williams-style_W0QQitemZ280046982835QQihZ018QQcategoryZ9861QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item280046982835
These willy wheels in the colour of the ones in the link below.
Also, if you could do them the same colour as my car would be nice too.
Getting ideas, as I'm thinking about buying those ones on the link.
Thanks, Brad

Changing the front crankshaft oil seal (gearbox end) on a valver. Only just put the engine back in. Changed the seal already whilst clutch and gearbox were off. After finnally running the engine the other night with the car sat on the drive. Noticed after about 10 mins of running a large oil...
Would someone be able to photoshop my calipers in different colours please? First of all I woud like to apologise for the crap angle picture. It's the only one I hae of it showing some of the calipers. Thinking about doing them red, but would also like to see silver, met.black, blue, orange and...
Got the engine mackled back up again today. Put the key in and tured and ignition comes on, all electrics work, great. Turn it the next notch hoping for the engine to crank and nothing at all, only thing that happened was the fuel pump started whirring. I think everything that's needed to be...

Are they any good? Is that a decent price?
After twisting my subframe in Tungy when I crashed it I had no choice but to get a new one. Bought this one and the wishbones second hand. Were rusty but rubbed down, red oxide and some hammerite has done the job! Also resprayed my old anti-roll bar to a colour similar to that of my strut brace...
Want some reccomendations on which brake pads and discs to go for for my valver. I want decent sets, that produce little brake dust but don't want to pay silly prices as I'm spending a lot lately getting my car back on the road. Heard mintex and EBC pads are good but not too sure... Anyway...
When I put the engine back in my valver thinking of fitting a standard airbox and panel filter. It did have a tacky K+N filter on it but would returning it to standard be a better choice? I don't have the airbox unit, where can I buy from and how much?
