Mine was a temporary car while I had my 205 Gti engine rebuilt after killing the bottom end at cadwell.
clutch on mine was very heavy, but funnily enough lightened you after I had one of the broken engine mounts welded back together.
I don't get why anyone would say RWD is not suited to everyday driving. BMW have successfully sold one or two RWD cars to the general public over the years without any major problem being reported.
I'd bet 75% of the driving general public don't know which wheel drive their car is.
seen a six wheeled VW T4 (or T5) locally twice over the weekend.
I'm sure the guy driving it think's it looks the dog's bollox, but it just looks odd. Oh and it's got one of those two tone paint jobs that transporter fans appear to love.
I went a few years ago with my brother for about five or six days. Camped in one the circuit camp sites, from memory I spent £700 in total (we split all costs equally).
Its immense, if you’ve not been you need to go.
Started the decade using this as my daily
Then moved onto this 172
Bought this for my wife in 2011
Also bought this 320d in 2011 and kept it for 8 years running from 135k to over 210k
Sold the abarth for this to share as my son learned to drive
Then in late 2017 while my wife was at work I...
I’ve got some pvc mototile tiles down in my garage, they stained within two weeks of fitting from water etc off the car tyres.
they look nice but I expected them the last longer before staining.
If I was doing it again I’d go for some form of paint or a ceramic tile.
The one it works on was machine polished of some sort before we bought it (never been polished/waxed while we’ve had it), this car is also kept in a garage.
the other two have both been polished by us with autoglym SRP and are kept outside. Both these cars are white althought I don’t really...
Right just washed our cars and used the snow foam, but for some reason it only worked properly on one of the three cars.
On the other two it loosened the dirt but didn’t allow it to be removed with the pressure washer.
any ideas why it would work on one but not on another.
We current have three cars in our household but usually have four or five. As above I looked into a multi car policy, but the quote I got was higher than the individual policies. Also it all looked complicated in sorting individual no claims out if you ever wanted to split a driver out.
I could...
this answers the question as to why the 135 was up for sale.
As for the first line in your op, sod what people think, all your threads make for interesting reading so keep it up (y)
best I ever got out of my 320d was 55 mpg. That was on a long slow motorway journey on a Friday afternoon (I should have known better than to get on the motorway at that time of week).
Usually I'd get somewhere between 35 and 40 with just local driving which would rise to 45 ish on a run. I...
