Think you’re right I might scrap the ring visit and possibly also the stop in Bruges. That way we could spend more time in the south of France and area around the alps.
here's a first attempt at a route
Day 1 drive to Portsmouth for midday ferry to Bilbao
Day 2 arrive in Bilbao at midday and drive to Barcalona (380 miles)
Day 3 day in Barcalona
Day 4 Leave Barcalona to drive to Nice/Monaco (425 miles)
Day 5 day around Nice/Monaco
Day 6 leave Nice/Monace to...
Cheers, your first route looks something like what I want to do. Just can’t make my mind up whether to drive down through France or take the boat and have 24 hours on the boat relaxing.
Me saying 7-10 was just me being tight with taking time off work (I’m self employed). If it needs to be 14+...
Your out bound route sounds similar to ours coming home. I was thinking of the ferry down to Bilbao to avoid the day or day and a half of driving down through France. I live in Yorkshire so already got a few hundred miles to do before we get out of the UK.
Dunkirk or the war graves are a good...
If you mean are we going in our megane, then no. It’s my sons car so no.
At the minute we’ll be going in my wife’s Evoque but that could change depending on what cars we have at the time.
just starting to plan a Euro road trip for around next June.
Currently thinking of
Portsmouth to Bilbao on ferry
Barcelona
Monaco
Alps /Lake Como
up through Switzerland (via Furka Pass area etc)
then onto either Nürburgring or Spa (trying to arrange this for when there's a race on)
possibly...
I didn’t do that, I just s**t my pants.
As for the car I let off a little (I know you’re not supposed to) and it sorted itself out. My dad was in the car and the whole way through it he continued talking away to me. I ended up telling him to shut up.
It was one of those moments when you can...
get me, I bet I could make a right mess with that sort of payload.
I did have a massive moment once while towing an XR4x4 (on a trailer) with a BMW E36. Got a proper snake on while driving on the M1.
does all this B+E testing bollox only apply to younger drivers.
If you passed your test before the internet was invented, and you have every letter of the alphabet on the back of your licence can you drive/tow anything or does the 3.5 ton limit still apply.
what do you think for my clio
Silver 2005 182 (FF) on 84k
Service history consists of a folder with loads of receipts, but the service book only has a few stamps in it.
4 recent tyres (nankang on front, goodyear on rear)
currently on turini's, but also will come with std wheels which haver...
Old tanks are cool. I want this old BM, but I've a feeling he wants much more than I want to pay at the moment.

It’s in the queuing area for the fast and furious ride at Universal Studios Florida. There are a few cars there from the different FF movies (I’m assuming all replicas).
If you go do yourself a favour and go through the queue and look at the cars then don’t bother with the ride......it’s...
Once the car behind me on a set of sighting laps got spoken to by the organisers. He was tailgating me and generally driving like a Audi repmobile in rush hour.
Getting spoken to about your driving on sighting laps must be a first.
I’ve had a pro out a few times.
Watching him do it it looked like one of those jobs that you need a lot of practice at to get good. Depending on the car and how bad the dent is I don’t think I’d try it myself
