In retrospect saying to passengers 'Oh were off here........no we're fine', probably isn't the best thing for peoples nerves when i'm belting around the track at full speed. lol
I honestly can't thank you enough mate, having a proper sh*t time in my life atm and hearing it fire up and going for bonnetless Mad Max style blast really cheered me up, I love that car so much and getting it back on the road will hopefully be the start of a more positive turn of events for me...
The Derv weapon works, I saw it move under it's own power today.
The other weapon might take us longer than we thought seeing as it's still a shell after 2 years. lol
Also it's f*cking rapid compared to before and it wasn't slow then, like can't react quickly enough to the acceleration rapid, it's going to be fun on track.
@HMS Derv Destroyer is a legitimate f*cking legend!!!
My Clio was on it's arse and needed a hell of a lot of work I couldn't afford, I had however bought all of the parts I needed before I lost my job, so as a massive favour and working his arse off for free for the past 3 weeks evenings and...
Tbh mate everything related to CS will be getting dismantled and packed up on Sunday morning, Saturday is the main day, Sunday is hangover recovery day.
Only problem with replacing the sump gasket is the subframe has to come off, but seeing as you're replacing the box anyway you can do it at the same time.
Common leak points, Jesus where do I start?
You've got input selector seal on the underside of the gearbox, anywhere around the sump gasket, all of the cam cover bolts can leak, but tbh going from the first pic it looks like your sump gasket is leaking.
The dog kennel is going back to being a daily, I was hoping I could use the Mazda until I bought an Impreza but life has given me a bit of kicking of late, so the Mazda's getting sold to free up some cash and after the Clio's rebuild it'll be going back to dog duties and work commutes for the...
Yeah i'm going to need a decent amount to do the job properly which will add up, I think i'll give it a miss for now, having spent over 600 notes on parts i'll leave it for another time and stick with the shag pile for the time being.
All the reviews on the stuff I posted are from bikers using it to stop their arses getting hot from the exhaust, I knew £20 was too good to be true.
It's not something the car needs, just thought it would look nicer.
This stuff I take it...
The Clio's engine is coming out to do the belts and swap the gearbox, so I thought it would be a good time to clean up the bay a little, seeing as the fire wall material is showing it's age I thought i'd replace it with this stuff, it's 100cm X 33cm which should be enough to cover the bits that...
03 323F 2.0 Sport, don't get me wrong it's an alright car just slow as f*ck, the yanks got a turbo with that engine running 170bhp and the JDM version was 170bhp N/A, we seem to get the sh*ttest versions of everything over here.
It's painfully slow, 130bhp is no where near enough to pull the thing along, it's needs 200bhp, recently i've been using the Passat estate 20V turbo I got my Mum, which at 150bhp is certainly quicker that the Spazda, but still painfully slow compared to the Clio, slow cars are infuriating.
