il be removing the whole dash next weekend, just to make life easier,what tools will i need to take home with me to remove it? i no theres about 9 torx in the top part but i would like to no about the lower half :)

Re: The sexy mercedes pearl respray clio Work has started :) Just had a fraction of a MM taken of the wheel bore part to make for a perfect fitment, just waiting on some new wheel studs from mercedes to come and put some tyres on the wheels then get the archs done :P

yea mine are low but im scared to go fast round corners lol, i need some solid top mounts too. i hit a bump in the road and it pulls my steering wheel

looking for some coilys that will allow about 80mm drop and dont make the car drive like a pogo stick lol got some second hand ones on at the min at its like im just riding on springs :( Im torn between spending the money on air suspension or the best coilovers

Re: The sexy mercedes pearl respray clio Some High tensile bolts with the head diameter no bigger than 17mm and no thicker than 11mm with the thread 12x1.50 to fit the clio hub? Just some bolts with the measuremnts of the bolt head and as long as it fits in the clio hubs, prefrably a star...

i have this bolt for my 4 stud to 5 stud adapter, but its the wrong thread pattern for the clios hubs :( It needs to have the same size head and at least the same length but a 12x1.50 thread to fit the clio hub iv been round all the industrial places and places that sell bolts and that lol but...

Iv seen somewhere that an Audi TT engine will fit a Clio 172/182..is this true? Basically, have a smashed up TT and a sport, has it been done before? bearing in mind the 2 cars and next to each other ;) Dont worry about the time/money and skills required! has it been done before? and links :)

Re: The sexy mercedes pearl respray clio Right this just got a whole load more difficult!! as the only room on the adapter to bolt it to the hub you have to use a allen key head wheel stud, and of course its a renault so the supplied bolts dont fit the hub, been around all the industrial places...

Re: The sexy mercedes pearl respray clio Fronts needs some minor work, bit of wing modification..the rears need a hell of a lot of work, aint gonna be easy!! :P need longer wheel bolts as the clios can only go on half a thread as the wheels to wide haha ;) But when its done its gonna look...

Re: The sexy mercedes pearl respray clio Look what arrived today :D The studs are to short to go through the new wheels safely, get about 3 threads on so need to get some longer ones at some point..will be having a mess around with them later and see just how much work needs doing :P

just done it..theres a cable tie on it f u put it up, cut it and it just slips over the knob

the lights behind the heater control ( the whole panel doesnt work ) dont have aircon, quite annoying at night lol...anybody had this?

nah im not doing it myself took it to a retrimmer, having the whole dash and gear surround done in Alcantara and the gaiter too...the dash and pillars are being done now just going to take the surround and the plastics that are under the doors on the floor aswell to be done

Having the whole interior retrimmed and need to take the gear knob of to get the gaiter off/on How do you remove the actual knob to get access to the gaiter?

the rubber seal that goes inbetween the top of the window and onto the roof, how do you remove it? is it a window out job?
