Yer the VMWare Server (free one) was the one I was considering, I think we could then move easily sessions from our dev to live environment which would be very cool and useful.
Which software do you use or recommend for the use of centrally hosted dev environment?
We want something that will be able to run a number of sessions, about 5, with SQL, IIS, etc.
Our live systems will be moving to ESX Server in the near future however the licensing costs here are quite...
We have the licences for the "live" boxes already mate, this was for a new development system only.
It's a mind field all this stuff, but after speaking to MS I think we're covered already :)
Would have want per processor Daz; but think I've got the right answer now anyhow from MS.
They assure me that we can install SQL for use in a test / demo environment under our MSDN subscriptions if all developers using the system have MSDN subs, which we do.
:)
Basically what are the licensing requirements for installation of the below on a development system, not connect to the Internet:
SQL 2005 Std Edt
SQL 2005 Ent Edt
SQL 2000 Std Edt
If anyone has definite answers with any links that would be great, thanks.
In my house, about 3 miles away from Rockingham, whoop!
I'd recommend this place:

Not a bad pub attached, and short taxi to town if you want a few beers
It does include sky talk, but he didn't say it covered my line rental, should it? I assume it was just a package on top of what I'd pay to BT each month.
Just spoke to Sky they can do 2 of the Entertainment Mixes, with 8Mb Broad band, limited to 40Gb usage and Sky talk for £22 a month.
SKY+ box is £49 with free install.
Seems pretty good, how does that sound to people with other deals?
Currently with Pipex, have been for years and they have always been good, no real issues.
I am paying just under £20 a month for 2Mb un capped and there appears to be much better deals out there.
Want it cheaper and preferably uncapped, or limitted to 10Gb (but one that tends to not charge...
One for the SQL chaps.
I want to be able to run a select statement on a table with a group of numbers in a field.
These numbers are integers of a random numbers dependant on the data.
Basically I have a list of say 30, 40, 51, 58, 70, etc.
I have a number eg 50 and I want to run a...
If you are really set on spraying it I'd be tempted to go a different colour to those offered as standard.
Lunar Grey might work really well with gloss black alloys.
