You could just share the DVD drive and open the files at the other machine? Or do you want to stick a load of movies on your hard drive?

My uncle smokes next to the puter a lot and he goes through DVD drives fairly quickly! The tar and dust build up on the lens and it stops working. You might get it working again if you take it out and clean the lens with some meths or something.

There seem's to be lot's of random apostrope's in add's for moddified car's. Oh yeah, 200hp :rofl:

Interesting, you powered the machine off and on again? Maybe the lens needs cleaning, do you smoke at the PC at all? I wouldn't worry m8, they are cheap as chips these days. I picked up a new pioneer 111 DVD recorder for £20 last week!

I drive the exact same van at work myself. It's very spongey and feels like it's going to tip over! The guys at work actually think it's "nippy", lol.

Hmmmm how much are bullet cams? Do they use AV or DV in? This is all turning out to be somewhat more expensive than originally anticipated!

What I mean is my dad will fit a capture card to the PC. Then he can plug his video directly into that without using the camcorder. Saves time as then he can go video->PC, not video->camcorder->PC.

Best price I've found is amazon at £248 with free delivery. How long does it take to transfer files off the camera? I've used windows movie maker in the past and it's good. I've also used adobe premier which is very capable but expensive (although easily "acquirable" from certain places :D ).

Anyone on here know about camcorders? I'll be buying my first soon to use for track days and my parents will take it on holidays with them. I like the look of the MV960, seems good value and gets not bad reviews. It also has AV in so my dad can use it to convert his VHS tapes to DVD. Good buy?

Glad to hear it worked. I'm gonna save myself for the final build ;) Emtec are made by CMC I think, pretty much the lowest grade media you can buy. Verbatims are excellent (mitsubishi chemicals) as are anything based on tayo yuden (sony etc).

M$ issued something recently telling people to burn the iso at a very low speed. Apparently this is a common problem.

I recently sold a 1.2 16v expression, 2001 47,000m. It took 6 months to sell and I had practically give it away at £2200 to get rid of it. Stupid thing was that the dealer offered me £2500 at trade in and I turned it down as I thought it was worth more.

The laggy throttle on the clio bugs me. Even my 1.2 had the same problem. When changing gear you take your foot off the throttle, put the clutch down. But due to throttle lag, the throttle is still open and you get a huge rev spike. I find this means you have to dely the change a little to let...

They suck a lot of juice so I don't know if it would run from a cig lighter? Plus you would need somewhere to vent hot air, don't fancy driving around with a hose hanging out the window!

ooo tricky one but would be mint if you got it sorted. Then you could shove it right up their arse. There should be a backup of the sam kicking around.....maybe you can get to that without admin rights? What about a key logger of some sort.....then hope that they log in at some point. Also...
