My biggest gripe with the old CS was the hitboxes, they drove me mad. It's a well documented fault with the original HL engine that it distorts hitboxes, so it's pot luck if you kill what you shoot. IMO that's the biggest advantage the new game has over the old one.

Aye, still one of the best looking games on any platform. The scale of the levels is also very impressive. There's an HDR patch available if you have a go faster graphics card which looks awesome. Just wish I had time to play it!

No problems here, I ran IIS6/MySQL/PHP for over a year and it worked great! It wasn't just a couple of scripts either, it was my dev box for a large student records system (which now sits on linux/apache :rasp: ).

You'll be fine m8. That board has native sata as well as a silicon image chip. Just make sure you don't use the silicon image controller and the XP install will see the drive fine.

If the SATA controller is native to the chipset on the motherboard then you won't need drivers. If it's a 3rd party add in integrated onto the board, then you will (e.g. Silicon Image).

nice ;) What I would do is use the already mentioned dvdshrink to rip the discs to a .iso. I would also disable compression if you have a decent amount of space. Then mount the iso with any virtual drive software and play as usual!
