looking to fit some new dampers to my car, have just stuck some sportlines on her and was wondering if anyone recommended anything, links would be great cheers.
i do 90 miles a day, love it, no serious probs touch wood. i get 40mpg out of it too. best i had over 150 mile journey was 45.3!! cheap like the budgey tbh.
got mine for xmas, they are ace, just deciding what dampers to go with now. the ride is a little firmer, the drop is good for me, makes my 16s fill the arches better, and the handling is improved, they are great imo.
Just a quick question for you boys. I have the stuff at work to, and the spare time be able to refurb wishbones, and press in poly bushes, or oe ones, whichever you fancied.
I am going to do a set for myself, while im at it I was wondering if anyone else would want them and how much you would...
ah right, what about when you put the new one on? i compressed mine down to get the nut and everything back on easier. cheers for the advice though pal. noted!!!
how do you do it without spring compressors? i changed mine last week, think you kind of need them, otherwise when you take off the top nut.....PING? or am i wrong?
hi, i need some pics please boys. my bro bought me an omp strut brace for xmas, when i offered it up i noticed the ecu cover and some random bracket that seems useless is in the way.
has anyone got any pics of theirs fitted on a 05 ish clio 182 non-cup please.
seriously pal its easy, the only hard part is getting the shock back in and over the drive shaft. just use a couple of long screwdrivers to lever it up there and get the bolts in. you may need someone to help you. it took me and my bro about 1:30 per side. the rear is even easier. they fall out!!!
piece of piss dude, changed mine this weekend, you do however need spring compressors, otherwise when you take the nut off of the top of your strut, PING!!!!
there is a thread in the guides that shows you how to do it, with pics.
Right chaps, bought myself some new springs and need a workshop manual to give me a hand changing them, will a normal haynes one do or do i need something else? if so, where can i get it. any help would be great cheers.
Just bought some eibach sportline springs and was wondering if there is anything else i need to buy before i start stripping my car. are they just a straight swap for the old ones. i have a 182, none cup.
