Yeah i saw them in the mag too. FOOk me there expensive. AST are makin some for my kit that will retail at 90 quid! Or 160 for fully adjustable ones They do work tho :)
Thats basically what curtis said. im running 1.25 deg neg. He did it mainly cos i do a thousand miles a month! and like i said it can also affect other areas such as braking accelrating etc etc.
Everyone is allowed there own opinion edde i know but by the sounds of your last thread you were just out to pi*s people off! Yes the coilovers that ive had develpoed may not be everyones cup of tea but at least it gives people more to choose from. as far as im concerned ive done good. Ive not...
Not yet to be honest. I got asked by powerstation to go with them to the ring next month but am mega skint and got bid credit card bills :(
Will have to arrange a meet or arrange another trackday or something.
Yeah no worries. As i said call powerstation and ask for curtis(option 2)
Mention me and he will sory you out. Hes a relly nice and helpful lad.
Im based near stratford upon avon. (where shakespeare was born)
In a town called evesham.
Not quite but very discounted and have not paid for fitting, setup or corner weighting etc.
They are basically done to be honest. We are stickin with the 280lb springs on the front but are changing the rears to a 225lb instead of 250lb as i think its a fraction too much.(not a bad guess by him...
I spoke to curtis at powerstation earlier and he will probably beable to sell the rears on there own but wouldnt be happy with it as he cant guarantee the handling on the car as there are 2 different manufacturers bein used and the shocks dont match which is not always a good idea. He said hes...
Probably. they do make a massive range of suspension. It works on the back and its as simple as that. People sayin that they have known of probs on the rear on the cup cars is irrelevant as a road car is not a race car and does not go through the same level of stress and punishment.
Because they just use the simple spring and shock idea which is easier as the car already has it. AST couldnt understand why noone else had done it so they decided that they would give it a go. There a big company with a massive amount of knowledge and experience!
AST has NOT COPIED any other suspension design on the rear. its there own development. theyve been doin it long enough to have an idea of how to go about it!
Thats exactly my point with AST. they have been makin suspension for longer than almost anyone else. 45 YEARS for god sake! i cant see them goin under like the likes of leda. gas shocks are the way forward anyway.
Also powerstation is only ten mins from me and can also setup the AST's absolutely...
Maybe not then but he still thinks i need no more for road use. camber affects alot of other things other than just tyre wear tho such as baraking, accelrating etc. Ill just trust him cos hes been doin it long enough!
