Yeah true but most people either own a RS or a sporty one.
You got a point though
IMO the only good looking mk1s is the williams.
The valvers are pretty tasty too but the RT (and other lower models) is dull! Infact JONGSR4s sister refused an RT as her first car saying how dull it was. The 106 XSi she bought is a far more interesting car.
Reminds me of my mates old 1.6 mk3 cavalier when we were 19.
He had Pioneer (big sticker) on the back window but he only had the standard Gundig tape player and philips speakers.
He had Clifford as well but no alarm
He had VAUXHALL across the windscreen.
Hes not a chav but we did laugh.
I saw 1 completely battered valver in Naples. No mk2 RS Clios at all.
Due to their heavy tax laws (still not as high as here!) very few buy petrol engines over 1.6. If someone did buy a 2.0 then it wouldnt be a clio. Most new cars are diesels.
Southern Italy is poorer than the north though...
Remember going to get my mums Megane Scenic in 1999 and they (renault croydon) were selling a 95 M reg Williams 3 for £10,995.
Remember I had a 1.3 Escort at the time and was dwealing over the Williams!
Held their price for quite a while.
Youd have to be pretty well off to own a 172 in italy due to their tax laws.
Any car over 1.6 is a killer!
Ps go down the Napoli (Naples) their even worse!
