    Heat Wrap

Well I fitted it at the same time as my exhaust and bespoke air filter/ inductio kit, so I cant really say performance wise. Theorectically it will keep the gases hoter for longer so then get out faster, a few pops and bangs on over-run. The bonnet vent is aimed at keeping the manifold cool so...

Place them on a good structural part of the car, either the jacking points if they fit and use a good trolley jack to lift it on another point, or use your normal jack and put them under the box section running the length of the car. Once you have it in the air you will know where and where not...

    Heat Wrap

I got it for my willy, I would say it is well worth doing!! I did it whilst the engine was out so it wasnt too bad to do properly. Need your own circlips though as it just comes as the wrap. Smokes like a b**ch for the first couple of runs but nothing to worry about.

    system and filter

Reckon the general concenses on here would be to get the full cat back system plus a de-cat pipe, with just a replacement filter element that is housed in the original air-box.

    Scorpion INDY

Yeah got a full magnex on my Willy, have to say I am very impressed with it. Just contact the manufacturer, if they are serious they will provide you with the RR tests and back up their sales crap. The other option is come to a meet and see the variety of zorsts there!

Not sure on the exact set up on the 172, but generally you will need two axel stands to raise the front of the car. A socket set and either a alan key set or the socket type, and the spring compressors. Loosen wheel nuts, jack up car and whip the wheels off. Loosen top nut on strut mount, on...

Yeah I would think it is just the outlet bit that is 4", so it will just affect the exhaust note rather than the overall effeciency. The bit for the cat can be easily overcome, just measure it up and cut it off to the length you need, then get a local engineering firm to weld you the fixing...

Is that just the last section or the whole bore of a complete exhaust? If it is the last couple of inches..i.e. from the back box. Then I cant see it making much difference. However if it was 4" all the way through then it may be a problem.

Clio Cup Front Bumber (the black plastic bit)

Calm down Jilly!! Just because the boys are talking about a bit of black plastic, it doesnt mean that they are on about the same thing as what you are thinking of.

    Williams Door Speakers

Was having a play about with my leccy windows the other day as you do. So obviously the whole panel and crap was off and I noticed that the door has got a cut-out for speakers, great but no wiring loom - or has it. Up by the wing mirror there is a block with two terminals that are just left...

    Clio 172 Strut Braces

I would of thought that for any strut brace to perform the way it is designed to it must be attached in a sound structural way to the car. Otherwise there is not much point in having it other than for looks, and it will do more harm than good.

    Fuel Guage - dodgyness

The gauge on mine seems to somehow show how much fuel I have left if I were to carry on driving as I am. For example if I had half a tank left when I fire her up, and then ragged the nuts of it the fuel would drop to say 1/4 but then if I got to a dual carriage way and did a steady 60 the...

I dont really get involved with the manufacturing side of things but I do recall a huge disagreement at the Swedish factory during the Mk1 production run that stopped the assembly lines of the V6 and C70. It may have something to do with that I cant say for sure. Or it could be just a simple...

Fantastic fun..get to razz round in it then if I dont like something the boys go away and change it. If you are thinking of buying one then wait till the Mk2 is out.
