i have my girlfriend on the 3000GT and the 306 policies even though she doesnt drive either of them. reduced the 3000GT by £300, and the 306 by £110. thats the way to go!
both insured with admiral
if you had an accident?? what if theres other people involved? they will want to claim.
either do it properly or wait until you can insure it. it aint worth the risk of being caught. fraud will get you blacklisted from everything, mortgages, mobile phone contracts, bank loans, credit cards etc.
The HPI report doesnt show everything either. my boss' mondeo needed £12K of repairs after a major accident, and when he came to sell it, the buyer had it HPi'd and nothing came up. not sure if this is a one off??
A Halfords installer told one of my mates that they couldnt install a headunit in his 306 as it would interfere with the electric windows!
Anything halfords can do, you can do for free!
admiral for uk cars - im 21 with 3 points and pay £1200 for my group 20 3000GT twin turbo.
try asking on scoobynet or any of the 1000 other scoob clubs
the airbag doesnt always go off as it is only for certain types of accident. there are times when the airbag would do more damage than good, ie, if you are unconscious after the crash, you may suffocate with the back wrapped around your head.

I would imagine someone in a 1.2 could waste me if they were a skilled driver.
dont start that again!
admiral and elephant have been cheapest for me on my 306 and 3000GT, admiral own ele, so play them off eachother until you get a good quote.
tell them you have the use of another vehicle if possible, limit the milage, get it in a garage, cat1 alarm, no mods, 10month NCB accelerator policy is...
remember it aint just the engines that wear, all the electrical items, suspension and steering parts (bushs etc) interior will have 89000 miles worth of use too. extra £1800 gets u this...
On the wifes 1998 Clio 1.4 (facelift model) the main beam doesnt click on when the lever is pulled back, although it works in flash mode (so if the lever is pulled back and held, the main beam comes on) but doesnt seem to "click" into main beam position like every other car ive had! any ideas...
in the original post, the level of driver skill was stated to be "equal". so where does driver skill come into this argument?
"my 1.2 is fast and can waste bigger cars"
so if fred was in the 172 or the CTR, surely that would be a hell of a lot faster too?
claiming that you are spanking beemers and mercs makes sound like a dick. if a beemer was tailgating you and you pulled away, i would bet both my bolloks that he could have kept up if he wanted.
how old are ya fella? i remember being 18 and having a fiesta that could spank every car on the planet!
it had a touring strip, halfords bolt on exhaust tip, jvc CD player and 6x9s! it was the daddy.....!
Blue valver(?) with white wheels and a BB tuning sticker in the back nailing down the werrington parkway past the shell garage. sounds very nice, n managed to catch up/ overtake for a better look!
i fell for one of these a few years back, and every so often i still get a call for a car i sold two years ago! whenever they ring now, i ask them if they want to buy the car off me every time they say they want to advertise it for me!
"we want to advertise the car for you, as we have buyers...
they may look at it like this: " you should have been stopped far enough away from the car infront so that if you were shunted up the arse in standing traffic, you wouldnt be close enough to damage the car infront."
if they can shaft you in any way, shape, or form, they will!
i have my 3000GT and my 306 insured with Admiral, i had 2 years NCB on the 306 and they gave me 2 years NCB on the GT as an introductory offer.
i pay £1400 to have both cars on the road, bearing in mind one of them is group 20, i dont think its too bad.
and im only 21!
cant you change them yourself with parts from GSF?
if the discs are badly lipped then you may be able to have them put on a lathe to remove them, if you have a local machine shop. wouldnt cost alot.
and yes, the pads are supposed to wear before the discs, my old man was told when he bought...
