Mitutoyo are good. We've a 6" one at work that's old and battered, I dropped it in the coolant trough and we machine cast iron so it's had more than it's fair share of dust to contend with.
The thumb wheel snapped off, that aslo happened to my 12" ones at home which rarely get used🤷♂️...
They were a decent little car back in the day. Probably not as good as a swift sport now though. If this is a restoration because the guy had one new and liked it then fair enough. If it's going up for sale then it's money wasted probably. If I could I'd sink every spare penny I have into a 5...
Even if its not 100% factory fresh it's still probably one of the best out there. Shame they don't still make all the parts for 90's shopping trolleys eh🙄.
It may not be required in every instance an injector or lambda is changed, but for the rare time when a replacement part doesn't fix an issue if this is avaible to reset the fueling then it may be of help to some.
I've had new injectors, new catalyst and new lambda's fitted over the last couple...
Anyone got clip and want to have a dig about and see what settings there are relating to this? Seems to have turned into a bit of a witch hunt in this thread!
There's a couple of independent Renault specialists I know have clip not too far from me so I'll have a word before mot time next month. Could save me buying a new cat or lambda. Or a new car 😂😂.
I've never heard that before. I had both lambda's replaced early last year and it struggled through the mot in March and shortly after the eml came back on and has remained on. Looks like I'll have to look into that before march.
Drove it for the first time in 3 weeks. I've been using the wife's Mk4 and mine felt loud, hard, fast and the steering wheel feels tiny again. It's bloody great😁.
Sanding the ball? I think you're supposed to sand the base of one of the cups that clasp the ball, which is pretty easy with some emery on a flat surface. Mine was as you described and I rubbed it down a mm or two which can then be taken up with the bolts after as required.
Once your mate has it handling it Bob on he'll want more power than just a remap anyway. So tell him Northloopcup hubs then a good hunter set up and than save for a turbo😉👍.
On one of their videos the other week they said the field was getting hard cored to make more parking space. I guess there aren't enough places like this knocking about so another in Doncaster can only be a good thing.
I've never seen any as bad as that before. Even if they were in perfect working order I'd be sending them back if they never said they'd been cut open before.
