As a comparison with other cars on the day it will be interesting (mileage is def too low to get a real result though, still loosening).
I should add that the RR printout above has a very impressive torque curve for a NA 2.0L!!!
The wheels are a strange one... I also went for standard Cup anthracite alloys (inc the essential Recaros), in photos they don't look great but in person they really suit.
If you want ultimate chuckability after a 182 I'd recommend the Cup, one thing worth bearing in mind is that they seem...
Best idea is to test drive an R27 and a 200, for me the 200 was a significant evolution, being used to firm suspension (previous 3 cars were Type R, S2000, MR2 Turbo) I went for the Cup, steering feel and handling are outstanding!
I think it was around half the house deposit I paid 8 years ago :(
I was surprised it all goes through without question on a Switch card, no verification other than the usual PIN code
I think it's only 175 above base cost, but I bought the car for cash on my switchcard and that was a bad enough one off transaction :dead:
Like I say, if I'd been in the UK and able to wait then may have done it.
I think the speedlines look slightly nicer but I like the Anthracite wheels and if I wanted Speedlines I would have needed to wait another month to get my car (plus I'd specced Met Black, Air Con and Recaros and it was getting pricey) :D
Couldn't have the wait as I moved to France and needed...
I thought I had the only black 200 on here :(
You went for the speedlines, I thought it was too much black - I think you should have tried to get the Recaros, nice spec all the same though. Looks good!
Looks nice! Make sure you run it in a little, I followed the sensible revs schedule for...
To be honest, rather than mileage, if I was in the market for one I'd be looking for a standard mint example. The one in the ad is far from standard, the wheels and exhausts ruin it for me :(
I had my best ever 200 day trip through the Alps yesterday, 200 miles with amazing scenery, car was faultless even on slippery snow covered roads. Handling around the twisties surprised the boring French dervs that tried to follow
Does appear to be a bit of a marmite thing :D
I think as Renault change the face of all their cars it become a bit more familiar/accepted, the new Megane picked up the same front end looks and I think it works, but sounds like they haven't got the driving aspect completely honed in that one.
Always makes me laugh when someone has to justify their own choice of R27 when the thread was about Clio 200 & Mini GP....
Perhaps they're bitter about being caught out by a special edition 197 that isn't in any way special (other than some stickers). The Trophy is worth more now because it...
Have you actually driven one? I would guess absolutely not
Some people might not like the front end but it is widely acknowledged that the 200 has had some serious improvements over the 197 (which was already a great car).
I did 220 miles yesterday and my 200 Cup averaged 34.5mpg with varied driving, motorway, Alp roads, A roads.
I will calculate properly when I fill it up next as last time the on board computer was nearly 2mpg lower than reality
To be fair mine does nothing for a month then does one...
I have to drive 200 miles tomorrow afternoon across central France, thought the new tyres might be OK but nice to hear the traction control works a bit :)
Some people on here seem clueless how to calculate mpg or drive with some economy when the need arises :rasp:
The Clio 200 gets between 34-40mpg on decent runs, and this is calcualting to a full tank with an engine that had less than 1000 miles on it. I can't imagine the 197 potential being so...
