I read the review in Autoexpress this evening,
I find it odd that the 182 "star" ratings for performance/interior/exterior were the same as the STs (but one higher on the engine/performance) but the ST got first place? Odd.
However, when I looked at the whole article and realised it was a...

Car feels smoother than before it went in, wonder if this sensor had been playing up for a while?
Top marks to Renault, they washed the car for me (it was minging) and hoovered it out. Ive also had the central locking playing up, so they booked me in for a week on Saturday and said "drop the...
Thats the car sorted, in and out in an afternoon - not bad eh? (picking it up in 30 mins).
The problem was a faulty/knackered coolant temperature sensor (which is probably why my temp gauge went right down) which was telling the engine management that the coolant was at -30 degrees celcius...
Yeah, my 182 is an import and doesnt have an alarm or locking wheel nuts.
I bought a set of McGard Ultra (5/5 in Evo mag, they couldnt get them off) locking wheel nuts for £35 from Halfords.
Thatll be the Ibiza FR which is a 150 bhp 1.8T unit.
Easily chippable to 180 bhp, and 215 bhp if youre brave enough to run that much boost (no thanks...).
Phoned Renault this morning at 9:30am, spoke to the service manager who advised they were making a job card up and going to look at it asap.
Hope its sorted today, but I suspect if its a major job then itll be tomorrow.
I think the ST is a decent car, looks brilliant in white with blue racing stripes:

Its an insurance friendly hot hatch and quite monumental for Ford as its the first hot fiesta since the RS Turbo / XR2i. It has a...
Well I own a MK5 Fez Zetec-S in addition to the 182, and its had a wad of problems (just look at the owners club website), some of which include the following:
1. Engine pinking, needs super unleaded (timing problem)
2. The usual squeeks and rattles
3. Rusting after 3 years old (dealer wont...
Cmon, id broken down in the pssing rain and howling gales - getting the filter ripped out wasnt on my mind ;). The AA guy never even looked that far in, just made sure it had fuel and that there was nothing on the diagnostic.
I really really hope its nothing to do with fitting the Green Cotton panel filter. Thing is, its been fitted for weeks and been driven a good 500 miles without incident.
Right,
AA couldnt fix it, no idea what it was, "no fault found" when the diagnostics were plugged in.
Thankfully he towed the car to Renault and the night watchman was there, so we left it outside the door. Strangely enough, the AA bloke was on the blower to another engineer who said he...
All,
Was out for a drive tonight when i pulled into a car park. All of a sudden, the car seemed to be stuck at 2000 rpm. Blipping the throttle made the revs go up, but it kept staying at 2000 rpm. Didnt think anything more, came back to the car 30 mins later, started driving home without a...
I braked sharply on a motorway and mine came on. Went off once i switched engine off/on and not seen it since.
