Just fitted silvervisions and was struggling with the one on that side and had to take the fuse box cover off to get it back in. Turns out i broke the clip on it. Will it do much damage if it wobble about a bit? It seems pretty secure but obv dont want anything gettting inside it. How much are...

Been quoted £250 for the guy to coem to me and do what he does etc...
Im quite keen to do it but want to know what people have got out of it. 182 ff. Heard it may improve a couple of things like fuel economy. Whats all involved. Does it take a lot of time for the changes to be...
I got a free bottle/snow foam type thing with my bosch power washer. Will this work the same puttign an inch + hot water then connecting it up or will i be best to get the acutal snow foam.
Thinking of giving my ones a bash when the weather brightens up. Black/Gold 182. Would people suggest yellow or black ? Hammermite seems to be pretty cheap and getting good reviews on this thread. I take it one tin will do both the front ? Should i paint the back drums as well or just the front...
rite thanks. i have sent my nearest renault dealer/service room an email to check rough prices. I saved almost a grand getting the 182 that hadnt had its belts changed so spending 2-300 pounds isnt too bad.
cheers for the help.
Could also ask them to check out the clutch/noise
rite thanks for that il maybe look at getting it done asap.
Is it best to take it to a renault garage to get these done. What prices would you reckon id be paying for both + mot ?

This seems to come with the snow foam type thing and its pretty cheap. Does it look any good?
Also looking to buy an engine cover. Can you pick these up from shops/online or do you need to look about for 2nd hand ones?

Picked it up on friday. Prett pleased with it. 54 plate with 42k miles, BG.
Got a couple of questions now..

Following on from my last thread i am going to havea peek at a car tomorow. My friend who is a mechanic is coming along to check the car is sound but is there anything i/he should pay close attention to on a 54 plate 182?
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Hi, considering buying a 182 in the next few days. The one iam planing to view tomorow has 40k miles 6 months tax and 3 month mot for £5k. However, i dont think the belts have been done.
What price would i be looking at to get these done as i guess these will need done when i buy it/at when the...
The dealers one is a 55 plate and private 04. So more reason for the dealers i suppose.
Yea i have read B/G is a b**ch to keep clean. Ive been after a B/G or R/B and have looked at the RB cup on here but would much rather have a FF 182.
Yea i will do. Bar the belts is there anything else major needing done? Just once iv bought it and got insured i wont have too much cash to spend and want a pretty sound car that will last until next mot/service.
Iv been quoted £834 plus my mum on the car if she needs to use it for 12 months...
Not 100% sure on warrenty but im sure i could get it thrown in/pay extra. The car at the dealers has just been serviced so i guess thats the belts all done but again i need to check.
My car is a P reg escort si. Got around 130 o nthe clock. I bought it of a mate who is a mechanic so its all...
After months of waiting and waiting im about set to go ahead and buy a 182. Now its decision time. Iv had a quick look locally and have come up with two cars.
1.Dealer - FF Black Gold 49000 years MOT/Tax and will p/x my car for £500 meaning i pay £5500.
2.Private - FF Black Gold 41000 5 months...
As said around £5-6000. Would want a FF 182 altho may consider a cup. Preferably standard except for small mods - Spliter/lowered etc.
It seems a good time to be buyign a 182. Prices have dropped alot since i looked at the start of the year. Do you expect them to fall lower in the next few months?
Took the plunge just now and registered. Looking forward to seeing what goodies i get in the welcome pack.
Hopefully i will be able to get a 182 in the coming weeks. Having battled to get my credit rating resolved all looks in place i just need to get the right loan in place.
Hopefully...
My sisters Pug 206 was written off by the insurance company after the smallest of crashes. My mum came in to our estate and on the cobbled speed bump part (was a small layer of ice/snow) went into a bollard at less than 10mph. Hardly any damage yet they decided to write it off. Got 4k back for...
Im looking to buy a FF 182 by xmas. Going by the past few threads about people asking how much they will get for their cars im looking to spend around 6k on one with up to 35-40k miles on it. Im guessing the market looks pretty good for me?
All accept trying to get a loan in place.
Much prefer the 182. i knwo itsa touchy subject with some folks on here 172/182 but i would be that or a 197. Would there be much in the difference of insurance?
I do liek how the 197 is a little bigger inside and out. Is there much difference in performance? what price would you think a 197 cup would be for a year/2 old and a few k miles on it?
