used box from a trusted source should be fine, beware of individuals breaking cars though. A number of people in the mk1 scene have been stung with buying "good" boxes, had them fitted and they were as bad as the one they removed or even worse.
not worth even thinking about not replacing the...
standard pumps are surprisingly good.
for that kind of power target, the standard single fuel pipe rail and FPR is fine with larger injectors and mapping to suit (stock ECU is not good for boost IMO, as no-one has ever got the MAP sensor changes right) but you will limit the flow potential of...
start on low everything and increase wire speed gradually, you should be able to get a weld without spitting and farting, but most likely without much penetration. step up to the next power stage, and do the same with wire speed, that'll most likely be as powerful as you can go with that...
no, that was a batch of RC5+, not the RC5, and not all of them ever made.
Mintex 1155 or 1166 (driven a few mk1's with both) are where I would be looking for a fast road/track crossover pad
-prep the area better
-get some scrap and practice until you have settings you can work with.
-Don't expect to be able to do long runs of weld on shin sheet metal, you have to do fairly short burst and stitch it, or move a lot quicker than you think
not entirely true, there's some seriously soft crap like EBC that I wouldn't touch, but generally yes, Apec, ATE, Pagid, Brembo, any reasonable manufacturers disks are fine. I just choose Pagid
well HC disks are not in any way uprated AT ALL, very common misconception, they're completely standard. Pagid disks are as good as you will get. For track I'd recommend a different pad for sure
whole range really, fixed damping shocks, adjustable damping shocks, 25mm springs, spring and damper kits, or 2 different types of coilover kit with damping so nice I've been told it's better than standard by a few people now
I've run 300hp+ turbo engines on them. I've run them in mk1 valvers, 172's, 182's and a trophy (which still has them in, running perfectly)
As far as plug grade goes they are EXACTLY the same
the thing some people forget when running a copper core equivalent is you MUST run a resistor type...
