leigh dont start mate, my mum is screwing i drove it one and and i broke it already, she ok with it though, we chopping the car in in march so it aint gotta take much more of my abuse
u been ok
yup it was a engine mount that let go after only 10k
luckily its covered under warranty. not sure which one it was but it completely failed
wont get it back till wednesday now the earliest
yup
mk1 are better,
most mk2 owners will say mk1 are better but there are a few that made the change and regret it, matbrown for instance
hehe
mk1 are the nuts
liquid ice
my vavler never hada failure like this before
valver took more of a hammering over almost 3 yr period and nothing ever failed mechanically
loved that car
slow cars can be driven fast and can be fun but once u make a step down froma real fast car and a real slow car, its...
liquid ice
cheers mate
exactly ill let you know,
high performance cars are made to be hammered wherever possible, that the only way i know how to drive
lol
cheers nick
where the fcuk u been hiding aint seen u for ages now
these new clios arnt built aswell as the old one, u seen me abuse my motor, change to secong @ 55 and sh*t and my motor takes it like its nothing, lol
hehe
ben
its worth watever someone will pay mate
had loads of ppl saying mine was mint blah blah blah but it was hard selling, not saying mine is in beter nick then urs but it is 2 years newer with less mileage too and i struggled, but i guess if u wanted £3500 it would sel quick 4 k for a...
nope its driveable in all gears
damn thing
pissing me off
hope no big damage was done
its at reno now and they said most likely mount of some sort did not know the 172 had a waekeness on the mounts
right dont know if anyone has experienced this before but i think the 172 is broken again
this is wat happened,,,
launch off line fast, great launch 40 mph and bang into 2nd gear
power is there but there are three loud clonks!!!
i back off but power is still there and now on half load...
lol
forgot to mention that
from wat i remember they needle only little cutting about.
u just have to line em up ontop of dials and see where there are holes and pins for the dialds to slots into to hold em in place
its the main dials that take the longest the oil gaues took me 5 min to do
right
i got my dial from carnoissuer southend that offer cliosport discounts
my needles are whit and i have no problems seeing them on the white background, somemay think they clash with the dials but i can see em very clearly and like em like this.
this light up a bright orange at night...
here you go
the needles look hard to see but i like em like this
and at night the whole lot lights up orange and look the nutshttp://erc.qmuc.ac.uk/cliosport/file.php?image=1060864770__CIMG0014.jpg
right
they do fit
but need modding to fitting. justg need to be patient and cut em out carfeully well worth it i rekon
looks loads better
i think they were just cheap/ cost cutting as all 16v clio clocks are sagen and not veglia
loads in club have fitted em. other dials aint as nice
dont know about sound but they seem to work
nickR turbod motor was not making the power expected after the conversion, making only 200 bhp
they ditched the 3" magnex full system and decar for a bb tunning straight through decat and full system and gained aextra 50bhp of something like that...
i like it like last yr
v6 in the middle
then cars around it or them wored very well last yr
loads came in to to see dash v6 then stayed to look at other cars.
we got marquees this yr
a lot of people take on the job then realise they cant do it as it aint a 5 min job, not worth the labour to do it
most people/ garages charge engine out for this job but it can be done without it out
my mate never got compensation as no way to prove it had not been done but he could tell...
well its not cheap ur after
its the actuall job that needs doing
new a mate that had his valver serviced and repaired at what he thought was a genuine garage that done all his previous work
well they chargeg him £300 odd and never did the actual job
and yes the belt eventually snapped...
ben H
yeah its been sold
delivery on friday,
many fond memories of the valver kicking ass of most races ive had,im very selctive of what i race, i lost to a mk2 escort that sounded like it had a scobby engine in it,
quite literally it pissd on me easily and it also whooped my mates 106...
lol
just like the car i just sold, its got stamps but these dont mean much as they can be faulged,
i got every receipt for all work dont since ive owned the car,
if i was buying a car with only a stamped booked id be warry
huh
a willy 3 without a roof
u are lucky
i always think its best to have last of the breed, but if u want originality then its gotta be one with the numbered plaque
no offence kel just my opinion
clio 16v= most stealth performance clio of all
i just let the performance do the talking as most people are too naive when u tell em how good they really are
just show em bye kicking there arse
buy on condition
if ya lucky enough to buy from someone whos maintained there cars well then its no problem regardlesss of mileage,
the 1764 engine goes on for space ship mileage if looked after
yup
aaron and ben h after two of best example of high mileage vavler that are like new and go...
