one of the relays controls the ignition, i've had battery power but no spark, no power at any of the coils, swapped the relays over and it worked, they're 12 quid-ish from renault. might b worth a try?
straight to the ECU mate, the pencil coils in the top "ARE" your coilpack, they have these bizarre individual packs. r they faulty? common for one to go.

you can buy adaptors from demon tweeks, they're like thick spacers, but you may find 18's r a size too far considering the scrubbing you get from lowering it on 17's. if you really wanna do it there's always ways, it's just probably expensive lol!
my clio has done that on occasion, if it spins enough lol. my gearstick looks like it's tyring to club me when i put my foot down it shakes so much lol! ktec sell all the uprated mounts, tho there's some debate on the forum as to whether they're any good/ better than oe. have a search around.
my decat is brilliant, the car is sharper and much less lumpy when cold. it's not any louder with the standard zorst 2. best value for money mod! tho fitting the cat back on for MOT is a pain.
i'm with adrain flux and they're excellent, even with all the mods it's cheaper than anyone else as standard, £430, i am 26 now tho. paid £1200 when i had no ncb ugh :(

easy to fit rears, there's a good guide in the guides section, tbh easy to fit fronts too with some spring compressors, tho i've read a few threads saying the sport versions don't need compressors...
i got some cheapy ph2 lights without holders, and cable tied the ph1 holders to it after cutting off the clips so it fit flush!! no problems so far, no water ingress, been like that for a year. cable ties are even better than sliced bread.
lol, i had a bit of coil fall off my focus, i drove for weeks wondering what the grinding was when i turned the wheel, it was part of the coil stuck in the arch!! i never even noticed it was lower! :S
lol, mainly rubbish! my old interior was trashed, i've flogged the wings and anything usable really. still got a battered front bumper lacking splitter, but i think thats about it. oh and a ford focus lol! my car's a 172 rep btw, hence wings/bumper etc.
well, have a look, see if there's some ph1 interior threads to make sure its the same, if you want it and can be bothered to come to sheffield its urs!! it's been sat in the garage since putting in my 172 interior.

ugh, u gotta go to oxford for seats that ain't right? i'd pay the 99p and just leave it! get to a scrappy maybe? i've a passenger seat you can have for free, a runner is bent and the bolsters are worn but if you need parts you can take it.

3rd party cat ftw, just got one for my ph1 1.4, 73 quid trade plus vat. might not be as good quality, but then the oe is renault lol, plus the decat's goin straight back on and the cat'll b wrapped up for next year! i've seen them on ebay or internet sites for around 90. :)
