    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

I saw a yellow Audi Quattro on the A12 last night And a couple of Clios in the vicinity of Brands Hatch, think there was a track evening on. That last one was definitely driven by a burglar/pervert lol

    My cup

I would fit clears. Think later Cups had them anyway? That's part of the appeal for me. It was a basic car and the basis for the Clio Cup rally cars. It's poverty spec is exactly why it's so appealing. But I appreciate that I am a total nerd.

    My cup

Lovely looking car that, do miss mine.

    Meglio advice please

That used to belong to someone on here I believe. Can't remember who though. It looks nice but, at that money, it's into Megane 250 money, which would put me off a bit to be honest. But I'm not a massive fan of turbo Clios, so probably not the best person to ask.

    My New VXR (Holden content)

It has a MAP sensor and a MAF sensor? That seems rather excessive.

Went in an E30 years ago, albeit only as a passenger. Wasn't that quick, but lordy it stuck to the road. Very cool cars. One with a lairy NA motor in it would be a lovely toy.

    182 to 172 cup dilema

The Cup doesn't have any driver aids, not even ABS. Easy to drive though. He clearly wasn't enough of a hero to own a Cup.

    They do indeed.

    182 to 172 cup dilema

If it's decent, buy it. Cups are just cooler and will, ultimately, always be worth more. £2k seems fairly cheap. Can always sell it on if you don't like it. Anyone who says that a normal 1*2 is the same as a Cup is just jealous because their car isn't special :ROFLMAO:

Went to the last enthusiasts day at Ford head office today. They're closing the site later this year and moving to Dunton, so it was the last one. Was an anniversary celebration for the Capri too.

PhillipM Engineered Dogbone - Finally a proper clever solution.

I fitted Vibratechnics mounts and Powerflex black dog bone bushes to my road car, because I'm an idiot :ROFLMAO: To be fair, I didn't drive it daily, so I quite liked that it felt so extreme. This looks like a nice solution, surprised you haven't had more interest.

RB PH1 172 Rally Car Progress

What sort of money was it, if you don't mind my asking?

RB PH1 172 Rally Car Progress

Yeah looks like it. This Megane appears to have the same gear lever:

RB PH1 172 Rally Car Progress

That's quite a purchase! Judging by the lever, is it one from a Megane Cup race car? Should make quite a difference. I want one :(

    Adeys F4RT Twingo GT

Interesting build this. As someone from the rallying world, little cars like this interest me, as I think they represent the future. What do you reckon the upper limits are of the engine? With the capacity multiplier, it would still sit in the 2.0-litre class, but it could offer decent torque...
