Its a wee "doo-dah" you plug into your car and your laptop that when used with the RSTuner software available from fastchip.nl, allows you to remap your car for a ludicrously reasonable price
www.fastchip.nl
I just did mine today
If you dont do it, you are DAFT imo.

Do the spraying thing.......get someone to rev and reproduce the noise while your at it but be careful of spinny bits etc....
As per dannys suggestion, try a wee toot under the plenum towards the above seal to see if that does anything.
Jj
Right Henk my man, hurry up and send me an unlock code so I can map the balls of my onion box :)
P.s. What map would you recommend for my car, standard apart from a ktec stealth?
Regards
Jinj
I can reproduce this every time by running live data and the engine running........
It just shats out anywhere between 20 and 70 errors
I swear i am going to sue Henk for new trunks...
Jj
Ok.......brown pants removed.....as per this thread, the single throttle error isnt an issue, what does it mean though?
Am i also right in saying that i shouldnt be lookig at the error codes with live data running and the engine running?
Or do i have problems?
Jj
And i am being shown the following
When i try to erase error codes it tells me it was unable to do so....
WHat gives? Does it need to be licensed to do this?
Also, the red throttle error, why does that say "not an error" and that its still seemingly current but there is no warning...
Perhaps the braking oddity may direct the cause towards the servo pipework, im assuming that it connects to the intake somewhere like other cars..
First place to look imo.
Jj
I mean the noise man, it is HILARIOUS.
Its probably something really small......what about spraying wd40 around hose joints etc while its making that noise to see if it stops
Nah...i tried a few things and it was bumper off only...
Thoughht, to be fair....in terms of bumper removal.....this is one of the better ones (easier imo)
Good luck
JJ
Ok, you all know i had my "engine wet lights on high revving" fiasco last week and that the "toxic fumes" or "emissions" light was on for a few days after that.....but then went off?
Right....well, yet again.....i have convinced myself that the car is driving, well.....differently.
I...
I feel somewhat fortunate too in that mine fixed itself after a bloody good hoke.
Im still looking forward to getting my rstuner to see/clear the codes.
Jj
TPS is the throttle position sensor. Its in the throttle body which is probably the most sensitive bit of all of the engine electrics.
is your car driving ok now apart from the emissions light?
