my mate has a vx220 and i havent driven it yet but it feels a lot quicket than the cup, hard to tell from passenger seat though as he thinks the cup is well rapid from pass seat. Never looked at much stats but vx will waste a cup to 60, 5.5 i think
mine stuck in second at high revs twice when i got it new, this was the first time id given it a boot and was at 1000 miles, now im on 2200 miles it seems to have gone. Was waiting to see if it stopped before going to renault but seems ok now.
i have problems sometimes with 2nd to 3rd at 7000rpm, but its only happened twice when car had about 1000 miles, now over 2000 and it seems to have gone.
have got really bad wind noise from drivers door, keep on meaning to take it in but waiting for other faults to develop first and get them all sorted at once.
my mate just bought a vx220 53 plate, what a weapon, mentral car to be in but really loud inside.
Paint is really bad though with scratching when it gets washed, he is in arguments with vauxhall at the moment
Sorted folks, £60 to fix the 3 dents and you wouldnt know they had been there. Dent devils get the thumbs up.
Said someone has ran across it, small adult he reckons or sat on it.
Bastar**
Cheers
had the same problems with new car discount, got about 3 delivery dates and 12 week wait before my 2-3 week as originally told, cup arrived, filthy, not washed never mind valeted as promised. And driver told me its been washed as its been through 3 showers of rain on way here. Finally arrived 20...
not sure if i can make it or not, might be going out in aberdeen on saturday night.
Why dont you meet up and then head to down to crail this weekend, should be a good day, think fast car is there??
Gaz
its not only the spoiler and the wheels, the biggest selling point for myself with the cup was the colour. However it is better on motorways than on country roads, i dont mean handling wise but comfort wise as on the twisty non perfect country roads it wants to pull to the left a hell off a lot...
glad i didnt catch them at the time or id probably be getting done with GBH, my mates standard audi was targeted on the same night, will try dent wizards, cheers folks
Parked the cup at my mates house on sat night, went to collect it on sunday and found 3 dents in the bonnet and a greener on the windscreen, must have been some jealous w**k. its only 8 weeks old!!
Anybody used dent devils before, i used them once and they were ok but there is also dent...
I have owned both cars at different times, the willy is quicker and handles better but it will cost you a lot to maintain. Parts are expensive and requirers servicing every 6000 miles as apposed to 12000 on the 16Valve. Personally i preffer the williams to the 16v but i loved my 16v too when i...
if you look at the warranty for anti-corrosion it states that renault must fix any faulty paint problems / bodywork jobs that they notice whilst doing your servicing otherwise the anti corrosion warranty will be invalidated.
it shouldnt be drinking juice too much, i get a steady 35 on the motorway doing 90 ish all the way and about 30 in town, dont thrash it all the ttime though but dinna drive like a granny either
this will sound bizarre, but try slamming on the anchors and see if yopu lock up.
I had this problem in the willy, it was interrmittent and believe it or not, it was because both my back brake light bulbs had failed, one was due to slight water ingress, the garage sorted it with two new bulbs...
one less willy in aberdeen, i sold my willy 3 for a cup. Willys are rare, just look at the amount of 172s and gradyually incresing cups in aberdeen
I believe renault built 500 williams 1 for the uk, 400 of the 2s and only 300 3s.
Not a lot is it.
on 1450 miles at the moment and stay in aberdeen, really happy with it part from the gear change problem and its only happened twice, will give it a bit of time and see if it goes, if not i will have to go to one of the two utterly crap reg vardy dealers, oh no fear the worst, they couldnt even...
