just got my car back from its 18k service, £150, that good? dont think they drove it thou, so when i get a chance to drive it i will see what the gearbox is now like! ill post later what they done aswell, as i aint got the job sheet my mum has! A Happy Matt

it actually seems bloody nippy and quick with standard airbox! quite suprising, althuogh i am embarassed to put my foot down, specially in 1st gear! lol, try standard thou, it does seem quick, maybe just psychological, probably Matt

yeah all back to standard, even took all my sounds at, stuffed the wires under the back seat and some under the original carpet, just, lol Matt

if renault could gaurantee that everyone who was given the equivalent of their car was goin to treat it as if it were their own them i am sure they would! however they way most people see it is it aint mine, i dont care what happens to it aslong as i get my car fixed matt

hmmm, i aint gotta 172 but a 1.2 16v and with a filter fitted up to 4 and a bit thousand revs it roars, but between 4500 and 5500 it screams or makes a noise like ur describing anyway, dont know if this helps but it was fun! heh Matt
