    Pistonheads updated site

Just logged in and they've put the new style on again. Probably a bit better because you can search for mileage and colour etc. The text in my ad now looks s**t though as its not spaced out right and i cant edit it as its doesnt come up under "my ads" very frustrating. They should have just...

    CLIO 1*2 ADVICE PLEASE :)

The wings are a different shade to the doors etc as some of the panels are plastic. Its particularly noticeable on silver cars. Price seems reasonable but I think 182's look terrible in silver with no cup packs.

How reliable is the range left on the trip computer?

Id say not very. Had 60 left in mine, switched it off and got back in it and it said nothing!

    Clutch Slipping! need help...

Well personally i'd probably take it to a specialist but that's because there is one near me and i normally find it ends up costing the same if not less as it doesn't take them as long and they do a decent job. But in fairness its not like changing the cambelt on these, isn't changing the...

Clio Williams has been keyed, again.

Probably just pissed up pricks, my 6 got done over before I sold it, no reason I can think of whatsoever, every car up the road had been done. Luckily we just have the one car now and its safely tucked away in the underground car park. I sympathise though. Would love to know who did mine.

    Clutch Slipping! need help...

Yeah but any DECENT local place. Obviously i wasn't talking kwikfit. If people on here do it on their driveway I dare say a competent garage could do it.

    Who says Clio's are impractical...

I sat in the back of mine on a journey once, I didnt like it.

    Clutch Slipping! need help...

Any decent local place should do it. Surely there isn't much that can go wrong if they use a genuine kit and fit a new bearing aswell?

How do you know if the 1*2 xenon headlamp levelling works?

Best to do it in the dark with the lights on then you can see the beam move as you turn. Doesn't need many turns though!

How do you know if the 1*2 xenon headlamp levelling works?

Nope just lift the bonnet and you should see them at the back of the headlights.

    197 steering wheel on a 182?

How the hell would it go off though? Has to be electrical current to set them off doesnt it?

Is it worth selling the 1*2's anymore?

The car wont be worth as much in 30 months though and thats assuming you've had no problems with it. Diesel parts arent cheap!

My 1st mod and a little clean as a Clio owner.... more mods to come!

Skoda one is rubber though so just bends rather than snapping, plus if it does break off its only £13. I dont think ive ever seen a second hand CF splitter for sale that isnt damaged in some way

Keep or keep on pushing to sell??

Break it, scrap it or ebay 99p no reserve. Wouldn't bother with sticking a different lump in it as it will end up costing you more than just buying a quicker car in the first place.

My 1st mod and a little clean as a Clio owner.... more mods to come!

Bet a skoda one is less likely to get damaged than a CF one. CF is actually quite brittle.

How do you know if the 1*2 xenon headlamp levelling works?

You can adjust this on the lights themselves. Mine were crap to start with but are great now they've been adjusted. There are 2 white Allen key holes at the back of the light, give these a few turns anticlockwise to bring the light path up but be careful you don't over do it.
  24. bennno2005

Is it worth selling the 1*2's anymore?

I wouldn't say that is strictly true as they are better on juice and less to tax & insure. Having said that you'll only save money if you go for a cheap one that wont explode / depreciate. When i went economical I went for a 306 HDi car cost me £900 insurance was £300 a year fully comp and it...

softer ride since the Toyo's ?

I found the toyos quite quiet on my old car. However tyres will get noisier a they wear so new tyres will be quieter than worn ones.

My RB 182 on Piston Heads

I found the opposite when i sold my last GTI 6. Pistonhead was full of people asking if i'd swap it for a saxo, owners forum was full of people wanting it for 50p. Had loads of calls from ebay and sold it 2 days for the asking price after putting it on.
