Anything between the two lines on the dipstick is fine. Top it up if you want for piece of mind, but your car shouldn't use any, it will only drop if you have a leak.
Fairplay you are an absolute dildo. The price is fine, I just don't think much is selling at the moment. Any cheaper and you might lose interest as people will be suspicious I cheap it is. I can't see any low mileage RB 182's anywhere else for less.

Wonder how well its been built?
Re: Girl's reaction's to your Clio sports?
Do you really think so? My girlfriend would just think i was a gyppo if bought one of them. She doesn't like the Clio much but least its not really old.
They are all over the Audi's and Beemers but not the ancient ones.
£18 quid mine was delievered from Skoda. Its £13 from the dealer but there isnt one within 20 miles of me. Looks pretty much the same and fit perfectly, just had to trim an inch or so off each side.

What could I expect to get for my 182?
If someone in the trade could give me an idea of what I can expect to be offered part ex that would be good too as I quite fancy another S3.
Exactly and it's each to their own. I don't really get to do that much "fun driving" anymore so want something a bit nicer to be sat in but can still give me a grin when I want it to.
As for repair cost my last S3 was pretty good but i imagine anything that does go wrong might require a mortgage :)
Yeah I can appreciate that, but repairing a pin sized dent from transportation (which you probably wouldn't notice tapping it with your knuckle anyway) and filling a door in after the cars been hit by a lorry are a bit different. This is why I advised tapping down the sides in the first place...
Yeah I massivley agree with this, you wont get anything the same age with more toys / performance for less cash, however its obvious to me that they've been built on a tight budget and the build quality isn't the best.
30MPG was about as good as it got in my old one (which isnt bad considering what they weigh and the performance you get) so the 182 is much better on that front.
Never really liked the A3's myself.
I didn't say it wasn't an acceptable repair method. However in the first post he said they are supposed to be using NEW panels.
If I'd paid or my insurance had paid for new panels I would want them to use new panels even if filler would suffice.
I'd be pissed off if I paid to have new panels...
TBH I think the 182 is a teenager’s car (although god knows how or why they pay so much to insure them)
I’m 23 now and had mine a little while now. It’s fun to drive fast but I don’t think it’s very nice to drive slowly (which seems to be a lot of the time now) and would like to move onto...
On that logic why bother with an exhaust at all? I imagine there is an optimum flow rate which might be achieved with or without the cat on, although I actually know nothing about this.
I decatted my old GTI 6 an noticed that i seemed to have less torque lower down but the car really seemed to...
As above. I wouldn't say they are unreliable but I wouldn't buy one if I was solely after reliability. They have been built to a a tight budget and you can tell IMO.
Sounds alright to me.
I like a good history for piece of mind, but the condition of the car is more important. It doesnt sound to me like you are going to get anything better for that money.
