I dont understand why everyone gets massive wood about LCD and plasma TV's anyway. The majority of people will spend 80% of the time watching an SD picture, which looks pap compared to a CRT screen.
You walk into comet or similar, some idiot salesman comes upto you with all the cr*p about how...
Maybe I sucked the right c*ck at Virgin, but I seriously never noticed this cap. I download all evening, at least 2 - 3gb a night, and I get a throughput of 1.5mb per second every time. This figure never changes, regardless of time.
Ive always supported Virgin (and Telewest in their previous incarnation)....Their broadband speeds are constant and awesome. Never have outages (touch wood) and I can theoretically download a film quicker than the time it takes to walk to blockbuster (10 mins!)
Ive never noticed a threshold...
You either need to run the red and white to an amp/receiver (the red/white plugs on the TV are usually output not input. Either that or if your using component its likely you will need RCA to headphone jack adapter if its like my Sharp.....
I did it about 2 years ago, and all of the stuff I got tested on was pretty out of date, i.e winnt, ISA cards etc.....HP and IBM require you to do it though before you can get qualified in some of there more hardcore hardware certs...
Men just love the head swell from talking about IT kit, power output and cooling solutions dont they?
Im not taking the piss, because im an IT bod, and its exactly the same, but when you read this post it does sound like you all where a t shirt saying "theres no place like 127.0.0.1"...or ::1...
How naive you all are....since receiving this email I have become a multi millionaire after receiving drop shipments (like i the films when the helicopter hovers over my back garden and literally lowers the goods down) of sub standard electronics products from China, then selling on for vast...
If you want something different go for an Iriver h320 or h340 (20gb and 40gb respectively). They have radio built in, play video, and can be used as a document reader....they are discontiued but there are loads floating round ebay. Best of all, you dont need any sh*t software to upload mp3's...
Iwas running vista, and was happy with it, until I needed to connect to some NAS. Couldnet get a non brand jobbie working via a samba share, and the SC101 netgear I bought has no support for Vista either. There is a squad of nerds who have written an 80 page guide on how to get it working but...
I cant comment on the MCSE, but my Sun course had 1 tutor and 4 students. The tutor was someone who actually teachs at Sun, so you get good tuition.....
I would really recommend training camp then...its a nice location but there really is nothing else to do other than revise... Nothing worse than going somewhere exotic and not being able to enjoy it!! Specially having to put up with long flights also!
Is the one in oxfordshire with Training camp by any chance? I did my Sun Certified Systems Administrator Course there and passed with flying colours...ts boring as hell, but if you go in he summer its lovely countryside, and there is a pool and a gym.......
Im looking for some good NAS storage that is cheap, and doesnt require client software installing or need some proprietry filesystem format....Does any one have any recommendations? I was looking at the Buffalo linkstations?
It sounds like you are saying that you are able to dial into work and still browse the web, hence why do you need your own ISP.
The answer all depends on whether you are actually uding a dial up account to connect to work, or just connecting via a vpn....dialup is using works resources...
Again, I got an Asus with dual core 2ghz processor, 2gb ram, 256 nvidia dedicated graphics and 120gb disk....£699 from comet....Vaios are very nice, but I could never justify the money unfortunately.....
You could try looking in the bios, as some laptops have the option to recondition a battery, but it sounds like you will need to get a new one...I would suggest ebay.....
Re: TheSloth - my first self build.
Fair game to all the guys who helped Seb out...Its nice that in this day and age there are people that care....lol...Its just nice people are happy to help without the intention of making a quick buck.
Does any one ever frequent PC World in Moorgate, if you...
Without sounding patronising, why not just install the game if you have it and play with the settings? You will soon know if you can run it at high settings or not....
