Tried to get some quotes from insurance companies using this website, entered my reg plate and they claim it is a 1.4 16V instead of a 1.4 8V. How are you meant to get an honest quote if they dont even know the right car?! Just watch this tho because I got a quote from the Admiral site itself...

Never had my own insurance policy until this coming July. Out of curiousity went on elephant.co.uk to see how much for a 182. £750 fully comp, no claims in 3 yrs but as said before, always been a named driver so dont have a no claims bonus. What are similar aged people paying for their 182s?

is 8.5K round about the right amount for a 52 plate mk2 172? Its the metallic red colour and looks in good condition although a couple of alloys are curbed. A guy at my work owns it and he asked me if Id be interested although I told him that Im saving for a flat just now. Its only done 19K...

Took my car to get a full service and mot on friday - thought to myself car is feeling alright, should pass fine BUT... got a call about 90 mins later saying the car had a list of faults! things like anti roll link bar and rear coil spring had to replaced as well as the smaller things like new...

Was driving to girlfriends early on sat morning and the road didnt appear icy or slippy in any way. Went through traffic lights at green and was turning right. I didnt think I was going fast and as the car was turning, the back end of Clio went out. I got it back OK but I am getting used to...

Getting fed up reading about Williams vs 172 (as I cant afford either just now!) so starting a new debate!! Just had a shot of my dads new 1.2 16V and it is not a patch on my 1.4 8 valver! My car feels a lot quicker even tho we r on similar power (a whole 75BHP!!) Any views on this?
