1 thing to have a quick look at. The BT software may have disabled the Wireless Zero Configuration service? Have a look on the properties for the wireless card in my network places. See if there is the wireless tab there, allowing you to configure the network. If not try, Start, Run type...

I've got a denison in my car & never noticed any stray wires???.. i just plugged it into the cd changer socket on the back of the HU & jobs a good 'un think that wire of yours needs plugging in somewhere.. sorry thats of no use what so ever :-) hope you suss it out
