When you accelerate, the front wheels don't have so much grip as they are turning too. When you lift off, front wheels can grip more to turn and pop comes the lift-off oversteer. iirc?

45 is commuting through and around town as well! Ironically it gets the same mpg as the merc, which has an engine 2.5 times bigger!

1.4 16v gets about 45mpg average, 1.5 dci gets about 60mpg odd... Go for the oil burner ;)
