do 172s suffer from this?
thought the engines were the same basically?
it sounds very similar to what mine does... it will idle quite lumpy but at around 800rpm and will occasionally drop and try to stall but it will usually correct itself- sometimes not though :(
:S
Renault are normally good for parts ime.. though the price can range from reasonable to OMFG HOW MUCH?!?
Think the longest I had to wait was just over a week for some piston rings
I'm after the pulley locking tool for an F4R... is it a Renault only part or will other places do it? - can I get the tool on it's own (i've got the cam and crankshaft locking tools already) and roughly how much is it? :o
or is anyone feeling kind and fancy lending me the tool? :D (Essex/London...
plugged in a fuel pressure guage and the built in FPR is doing it's job correctly...
shame it still runs like crap :(
think I have 2 options now, remove the engine loom and double check every connection and to redo the timing but using the pulley locking tool
by all means go and see it.. the car has been out of Dans hands for a while now (I know of atleast 2 owners, but it does change hands often).
just beware it might be a bit of a bodge
(and yes, Dan has ripped me off too)
cheers bmh.01, thought as much!
ditz, too high?
running a brand new reg and rail and using some new silicone tubing for the vacuum hose (not collapsing etc..)
what else is there to change? I'm sure the ph1 valver pump is only about 1bar? but they can run williams lumps fine...
bump from the depths!
I've moved and acquired myself a garage... so now I'm not doing everything in the elements! :D
new theatre of operations :evil::
still got the trusty valver too! :D
I've almost got LMG running 100% now, it just seems to overfuel tons on idle...
ok, got the rail and have fitted it but....
is the regulator meant to keep popping off?!
It's a brand new rail with a brand new reg with brand new seals (and i've got a spare set too) but when i turn the key to stage 2 ignition to prime the pump (but not start it) it gets blown off!!
that...
I ordered a ph1 rail and regulator from renault and it should be in in the next few days, just trying to prepare for how I'm going to attach the mk1 fuel lines to it :)
