Get them, run on them for a while and see what you think, then sell them on again when you can afford a better set. Someone will buy them rather than pay full price and if they're not too old or knackered when it comes to selling them you'll probably get a large chunk of the money back anyway.
Ben - Thanks. I don't know if I'm going to Trax yet but I'll certainly try them out if I do :)
Been looking at the Jam-sport kit for a while now. It's a similar price and spec to the K-Tec kit by the looks of things.
The Yozzasport.co.uk website lists more or less exactly the same kit for £519...
I had this issue with mine soon after I first got it.
Initially I didn't know what the problem was, but I had another common issue where the trip computer was resetting every time the engine was turned off. Turns out that replacing the battery fixed that and the cold start issue.
Might not be...
The HomeHubs are s**t. End of.
It's not necessarily router or internet connection related, but I know tonnes of people who have had speed / reliability issues with the HomeHubs. You only have to do a quick Google search to find how many people have had problems.
First of all, give your router...

For example, the first mod I did to my car was fit Eibach Sportline springs because one of the rear coil springs had snapped. Next were brakes because I needed new disks and pads. Next was a decent exhaust because the...
I wonder what they'd say if I took my car in?
"Sir your air filter appears to be the wrong kind, half of your interior is missing, the wrong suspension is fitted, there appears to be a load of strange electronic equipment under your engine bay...." etc, followed by "It'll be £18,900+VAT to fix...
So is anyone actually planning on turning up for this then? Or is it going to be another one of those times where everyone says they'll come but then decides not to bother?
Doesn't look too bad to be fair. As said, HPI it to be sure it's Kosher, get the few faults rectified and you'll be onto a winner.
I wouldn't worry about it being used on track as long as it's maintained in accordance.
I've got a bit of love for the 197's now after driving one for the last week...
As I say, I need to be home by 6 so the earlier the better.
I think we'd agreed on 3pm earlier in the thread, but if it can be any earlier that would suit me more.
Re: Run to Lady Bower and surrounding areas?
Looks alright. Colour code the bumpers, side strips, door handles, spoiler and mirror covers and it'll look boshty.
Bramcote's only 5 minutes away from my house as well.
The washer pumps (there are 2) are about £15 - £20 each from a motor factors. Normally only one of them will have broken, but they both have to be working for the washer jets to function. They're a bit fiddly but not too difficult to do yourself if you need to replace them.
For the driveshaft...
