If they only come on automatically when it's dark they're working fine.
If they're coming on automatically in broad daylight, THEN you have a fault. It'd most probably be something obscuring the sensor at the top of the windscreen (behind the rear view mirror)/
Re: Run to Lady Bower and surrounding areas?
The 22nd is fine as I said, but definitely not the bank holiday weekend if possible. I intend to be either:
a) Drunk
b) On holiday
c) Both
The dog bone mount is beneath the car. It's quite hard to miss - it connects to the gearbox and has a twist in it. The bushes are the pieces of rubber attached to either end of it. If they look worn it may be time to replace them (quite cheap).
I don't know how you'd check the top mounts for...
As above. I've just purchased a Firewire 800 external Blu-Ray drive and was looking for some decent ripping software for OS 10.6. Ideally I'd like something that can rip and convert straight from the Blu-Ray disc or a BMDV folder into MKV format.
I've Googled already but the results are much...
My K-Tec Supersport one sticks out about another half an inch when it gets hot, but it's never broken in any way, shape or form.
I don't think John's had any issues with his Miltek one either.
Re: Run to Lady Bower and surrounding areas?
Let me know whether or not you need a lift closer to the time then. I don't know if I'm going yet you see - it depends on the date.
Deleting the desktop.htt file fixes this on local profiles (at least temporarily) but you may want to check the user's roaming profile if they have one - that may contain a copy of desktop.htt which has been copied back to the server. You'll need to delete that too, in order for the OS to...
Re: Run to Lady Bower and surrounding areas?
Where do you live? If I go I'll have an empty passenger seat so don't mind picking someone up if it's not too far out.
Welcome. Be sure to attend some meets. Our meets are usually pretty good round these parts.
The Milltek exhausts don't sound bad really, but I prefer the sound of the K-Tec / Yozza exhausts on the 182.
Do bear in mind that most Antivirus software is designed to prevent you actually getting a virus. Most are useless when you actually have a virus already.
In fact, most virii disable your AV/AM software so that it can't remove them.
Follow my instructions above. It WILL remove most of the...

Nope. The 5K kick is just down to the design of the engine. It's when it reaches its "volumetric efficiency". There's a thread on it somewhere.
The VVT on these Clio's is just there to satisfy some bullshit EU regulation on noise or pollution AFAIK.
The Wilwood kits will fit behind most 15's yes, but you're always best off checking clearance before buying..
The Hi Spec and Brembo kits need at least 16 inch wheels AFAIK, and you should still check for clearance first just to be on the safe side.
I was looking at the Wilwood set. I may well get some eventually, but for now I'm going to improve the standard brakes - uprated disks and pads, braided lines, some decent brake fluid and a caliper strip down, clean and rebuild.
Ideally, I'd like to drive a 1*2 with a set of 4 pots fitted so...
The engine will rock about if the dogbone mount bush is knackered too.
It's one of the things my car's having replaced this week to sort the exact same problem.
John's car is the black one. That's how his exhaust sits when hot (he'd just driven round to mine).
I think we were comparing ride heights in that pic...
Haven't got any better pictures though unfortunately.
Re: Run to Lady Bower and surrounding areas?
I'll tag along if the date is do-able. Any Sunday in August is OK for me apart from this Sunday (8th).

From what I've read on here, it's not so much changing the belt that's the problem, but timing the engine up properly afterwards.
Don't get me wrong, it's not something I could do, but any half decent mechanic SHOULD be able to do it if they know how to time it up correctly and have the...
