everytime i turn my car off and on the radio resets and asks me for the code. The interior lights don't come on when i open a door unless i have ignittion turned on. and my clock resets too. Anyone had this problem before. Surely this should be under warrenty as its a 182 that is only 2...

coz they made out of a heavier metal. Most modern petrols are made out of aluminium i think to save weight. I think a diesel has a fiercer combustion so the engine is made from stell as it can handle higher temperatures, not entirely sure by memory but i think that is correct.

maybe one of best hot hatches ever, but not cars in general.

as everyone is stateing - acceleration = petrol, mid range = diesel, top end = petrol.

i use to have a 170bhp st24 and my mate had a 150bhp gti tdi golf. we both booted it from 50mph and he edge ahead to 60mph (think he was right on his power band) and were identical until we hit 90mph when my st24 pulled away.

yea a diesel will match a petrol mid range once rolling which is public road drivi0ng to an extent. you said what was quicker. so say 0-150mph the petrol will win!

petrol diesel has a much narrower powerband. petrols have better acceleration and top end due to power band. Diesels have better mid range!

is this raspy or deep grunty noise, or in the middle? doesn't sound that raspy on the vid on milteks website! Does anyone know if it drones at higher speeds? I will have a decat aswel.

Anyone live in essex that i can meet and have a listen to there aftermarket exhaust? I had a zetec s fiesta with rally manifold and exhaust (was really raspy) Then i i had a 200sx and it roars like a fighter jet. Just not sure what i would prefer on the 182, i dont want something too loud...

I raced my mates standard cooper s and i have a standard 182, me and my passenger are 14st each, my mate in the cooper s is 11st, both had 1/4 tank of fuel and straight line drag from 10mph rolling in 2nd the clio pulled constantly in every gear away from the cooper s, reckon i was 1 car length...

After the first week of ownership of my 182 i had done just over a thousand miles and averaged 24.6mpg, its currently at 33.8mpg as of this morning and i have done over 2000 now!

Don't cams normally make your power band higher? Is that spec about 200bhp i take it?

yea i noticed the splitter was missing, but wasn't sure if it would be worth forking out about £100 for a standard one or a carbon fibre one! so just gona leave it me thinks! thanks for the great reviews people!
